Capitalism in a state of crisis cranks up the dial on fascism. Shit is going to get really bad for a whole lot of people who don't have the power to survive the violence of an unashamedly fascist state.
People being snatched up and disappeared to other countries, is a bad thing.
People being unable to get a job or healthcare due to being a member of one minority group or another is a bad thing.
Destroying the systems that try to keep our food and water safe(ish) to eat and drink is a bad thing.
Destroying universal vaccination programs and seeing outbreaks of diseases that were considered contained to the point of being erradicated is a bad thing.
There is not enough of a coherent "left" in the USA to be the vanguard that marshalls the workers you think are going to be comrades against Trump, Fascism, and ultimately Capitalism.

You've got the option of Reporting the post/comment to the moderators. Which will require you knowing the moderation rules of the community in question to take advantage of.

Am I correct in assuming that an investigation would take a lot longer than seven days? I'd also imagine that seven days isn't long enough to recover from a 7.7 scale earthquake so the focus is going to be on more immediate matters... that makes sense right?

So a former newspaper editor made a social media post about the building collapse. (Not a structural engineer or somebody who worked on the project and had inside knowledge or insight about the building but coming forward as a whistleblower). Then deleted the post.
If you find yourself in a situation where you decide to (or need to) lie, why wouldn't you keep doing it?
Parent assaults you if you give them an honest answer? You will learn really fast to give the "correct" answer even when its a lie.
Working customer service? You will lie constantly because answering truthfully typically gets you attacked by the customer, your supervisor and/or your manager.
Anytime you've ever been asked, "How are you doing today?", and you answered, "Okay.", you were probably lying.

If possible, "just be normal". Not everybody is a political junkie so their desire to have and express an opinion about things might just be very weak. Keep sending info to your friend but if its obvious that they aren't reading every 30,000 word article you find or watching every 10 hour YouTube video ... its probably a sign to be a bit more selective in what you're sending their way. Try fewer things, shorter in length and more directly to the point.
How often do you ask them what they think/feel about things that aren't directly related to something that you've been vocal about? Maybe there's a chance that they would like to talk about things but know they'd be steamrolled by the debate lords in the group.
I think this election will show a slow realignment of Arabs and Muslims toward Republicans.
Probably going to be a line between Arabs/Muslims who feel economically secure and those who don't. The racism and Islamaphobia are pretty well entrenched to the point of being foundational in the US right and I don't think that's ever going to change.
If its not economic what actually is there to attract Muslim or Arab voters to the Republican party or American conservatism?
