I'm sorry you're in this position. I hope things improve for you soon. I hope things improve for all of us soon because it feels like most people are getting shafted hard.
A coworker I really enjoyed working with is leaving in two weeks and it made me realize how I'm being severely underpaid. But the stress of job hunting has my stomach in knots.
I think societies would need to rethink and reasses hiw work is done. Maybe I'm naive for thinking that one day it will happen. Maybe not in our lifetime but I hope that someday people in every type of job get paid a living wage and are treated better overall.
That's pretty cool, thanks for sharing. I love learning about sub genres
Did you mean The Outer Worlds or Outer Wilds?
Ohhhh after seeing the trailer I bet you any money you're right. I guess the one nice thing is that area also is good for farming exp. So if you are needing to access it quick it might not be so bad...
I reallllly hope we don't have to finish the story to jump into the DLC. After an almost 200 hour first playthrough I thought "oh man I want to do this again!" I got a quarter way through NG+ and put the game down and didn't get around to finishing it.
I loved Elden ring as a concept, I think it was an extremely interesting twist on the formula. However for replayability I feel like it suffered heavily. The vast open world takes a long time to get through (mainly if you're really trying to beeline directly from point A to B.) And if you need specific items or materials I feel like having to replay the various tombs /mini dungeons would be more chore like than fun.
I only came to this realization after playing demon souls and bloodborne for the first time recently. There's very little filler a person would need to go through when replaying those older fromsoft titles. I'm so torn though because I really liked exploring in Elden Ring.
Sorry for the novel lol
I fear for Jet Set Radio. Edit: nevermind i guess they are trying to ruin that too
At least we got Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
First Shenmue got all messed up and now this. Nothing is sacred lol. I hope they reassess their head in assery
Yeah thats one thing I've been really disappointed by with the new consoles. Nothing really jumps out at me when I think of exclusives or "next gen" gaming experiences. I think part of the issue is the pandemic really messed up development, but also I think these consoles need to stick around longer.
After 3 or so years they consider the consoles "dead" and then it feels like everything just shifts towards the next console. I would like to see these companies taking more creative risks like we saw in the 90's and 2000's. The past decade has felt...very stagnant
The only games I've been paying full price for are games that I have been looking forward to for a very long time/games that I know for a fact I will 200% enjoy. Otherwise I'm waiting for steep sales of at least 50%, but usually more.
The only exception are Nintendo games because they rarely go on sale and when they do it's not a super amazing sale price. But because of that I buy way less Nintendo games and only buy the ones I absolutely know I'll enjoy. It's a lot more rare that I'll take a risk.
I feel like it was the past month or two? There's supposed to be a Nintendo direct soon which might tell us more. Lots of speculation as of now. Only thing that I've read is that it won't have an oled screen
There's a game on game pass that I recently saw called Ghost Lore that I think claims it's inspired by Diablo? Might be worth checking out
Compared to how little my salary increases each year? Yeah they sure feel that way
Yeah I would bet money on the cons getting power next election. Our population just flip flops between the two without actually using any critical thought process. Our whole electoral system needs reform
Crash Bandicoot was also my first game! I was only around 2 years old give or take. I enjoyed the NES and Sega genesis a lot more until I got a bit older as it was easier to get the hang of.
The second game I saw(but did not play) was tomb raider. It made me cry when the wolves jump scare you in the first level lol.
Does this include gamepass downloads? Either way that's great. I'm glad Atlus has recently brought their games over to PC and xbox
I'm only nervous that Microsoft will stop developing Xbox's. If we're eventually forced to move to a digital only system, I want some kind of guarantee that customers can always access the games they paid for. Otherwise I think sharing games with other consoles is a great idea as long as the added development doesn't eat into the games overall quality
Something in my gut tells me they might stop making consoles and move towards subscription services. Which seems like we're repeating 2013 all over again. Which would be a major shame because it took them a decade to come back from their stupid decisions with that console.
I work 10 to 6 but I've been lucky enough to continue working from home (for now at least).
Regardless of the time of day, what kills me more than anything is total hours worked. Like others have said, it's not a fully productive 8 hours.
Anything past 6 hours and my brain mentally starts shutting down. During high stress or high productivity days that can be shortened to 4 or 5 hours of actual productivity and then I slow down
The smartest thing about wage slavery is that our whole system runs on it. Everyone is born into the system and it just continues to perpetuate. At some point we have to redistribute wealth to help the general population succeed more. People should not have to worry about their basic needs for example. Food, shelter, healthcare, education. They should all be covered no questions asked.
