Who has power over the environment in Doug Ford’s cabinet? | The Narwhal

  • I wasn't aware of many of those, thanks for sharing. Those are hateful, deeply bigoted policies.

  • Those were like firecrackers compared to what we have today. And to be clear, it was absolutely grotesque and caused cancer for generations.

  • Can you please share a source on this? It sounds on-brand for the Heritage foundation and I'd like to learn more.

  • His right-wing populism and PR dollars are extremely good at getting him re-elected. Ontarians continue to fall for it and blame all of his failures on Trudeau while forgiving his scandals and blatant corruption.

  • Education is a provincial responsibility which is in trouble under the Ontario and Alberta conservative premiers. Doug Ford was a highschool hash dealer, didn't go to university, inherited his dad's company, then became a conservative politician. So it's unsurprising that he sees no value in education.

  • It says a lot about the current state of the party that this is the first assumption many people make.

  • Tesla has created a vacuum since nobody wants to buy their swastikars outside of the USA, and there's international support to buy Canadian. We have the steel, aluminum, and minerals for batteries domestically. I could see it working.

  • Something tells me Montreal won't be too happy about this one.

  • Stop giving Poilievre ideas. He's already Trumping as hard as he can.

  • fairvote.ca needs to put bluesky links on their website! It appears they're using the Mastodon bridge already which is nice to see.

  • Not OP - their smugness didn't help and you can use whatever means of transport you prefer. But to be fair, I do know people who have kids and use a cargo bike to do everything. This is a viable option for many city-dwellers. Sadly, we are still very car dependant in Canada for longer trips since rail between cities has been underinvested in and suburban sprawl is out of control.
