The Russian president has ordered military operations halted for three days to commemorate victory over Nazi Germany

I was just thinking about how great hitlers mustache is. Not that it makes him look cool or anything but that it really made him stand out. That stupid little patch of hair saved 1 in 50 white european of men from having to live their lives looking like hitler.
This is just the kind of info I was hoping for even if its a bit scant and overly editorialized.
"Up to 15000 men" That is a pretty serious force to have in Russia and nobody was able to prove it.
Drones captured footage of large North Korean formations advancing steadily, five to six meters apart, under heavy Ukrainian artillery fire – including cluster munitions. At first, it seemed the group had been wiped out. But hours later, survivors emerged from the snow and resumed the assault. “Seventy percent of them got up and pressed forward, covering up to eight kilometers in a single day,”
“Once one wave stalled, another would follow with the same relentless rhythm and fatalism,” a Russian battalion member remarked. “What drives men to fight like that? It must be something stronger than fear of death.”
Fucking brutal.
Lost in the sands of time.
There was a terrorist attack in Kashmir and India is saying the Pakistani government/army was involved or let it happen and now India is threatening to dam off an essential source of water to Pakistan. I doubt it'll go to full on war because they both have nukes but who knows anymore.
You should should lean into it.
Tell him you listened to what he was saying about pepa pig and that its worse than he seems to know. Its Nazis that are doing the brainwashing and they are hiding in the CIA. Then dump the skinny on MKUltra/Galidio/Congress for Cultural Freedom and all the shifty stuff the CIA got up to under Richard Helms the nazi lover who was a lead negotiator on project paperclip.
I like to listen to theory a few times as an audiobook while I do chores, cook, exercise, or play less cerebral videogames. It builds a familiarity with the simple ideas and the flow of the text, how the parts relate to each other in general. It lets my brain work on the ideas without my conscious mind getting in the way because it is busy doing other things. Then after listening to it 2 or 3 times read along with it and really get down to attaching all the parts together in the order they are presented and turning them into one solid thing.
I think I saw that one. It was a "what North koreans think about USA" video where another guy says that his hatred of america isn't against the people but against the government and military that did genocide against Korea
Narcissism and Psychopathy are neuro-divergences. While they can also be acquired over time it is quite possible that they are also something you can be born with. That doesn't mean that Narcissists and Psychopaths are born to be bad people. Some of them can get past their lack of empathy and learn to operate without being assholes but it is significantly more work for them. In the fully automated luxury gay space communists future we will have early childhood detection and training to help these people be cool but that is like the branch of the tech tree below True Immortality.
It comes down to material conditions. You mostly are interacting with Anglo-westerners who's biggest cost of living concern is home ownership. The possibility of owning a home is very dependant on when you were born.
90% of Zoomers even if they come from a middle class family know they will never own their own home. Half of millennials only came to realize how fucked they are in the last decade and another 20% have been able to purchase a home and will eventually be able to pay it off so they won't question things.
Processing the fact that the system is broken is much easier when you are first stepping into the system. (like how the new guy at a workplace can see all the safety issues and maintenance concerns that everyone who worked there for years doesn't see.)
So as young people, 70% of millennials saw that there might be issues with owning a home for some of us but the degree that we would be affected didn't settle in until we had too many concerns to actually consider how to fix the issue. Zoomers are coming into adult life seeing all the accumulated problems and they want to fix things before they have any other concerns to think about.
Exposure is a big part of it. People like the music that is playing when they are having a good time. People like the paintings that they choose to hang in their house (not the other way around).
Read up on choice-induced preference change and Cognitive Dissonance. There have been multiple studies (starting with Brehm in the late 50s) that show that people will increase their preference for a thing after they choose it.
(This is why they make people vote. You can get most people to say that "all politicians are bad" but then they will defend the guy they voted for because they chose him.)
People's brains are wired to be happy most of the time (except if you have depression) so if we are constantly subjected to something we dislike slightly, over time it can become passable or even enjoyable. If you include other forms of enjoyment with the music or books you are trying to like it can help trick your brain into associating those types of art with pleasurable feelings by proxy.
So basically just keep listening to Yoko and reading books you don't like and try to do it when conditions are perfect for their enjoyment.
Have you listened to the album Killer by Alice Cooper? King Crimson was one of his inspirations for the album especially the song Halo of Flies.
That is why it was posted in "Shit Reactionaries Say"

Putin is a master troll.
Declaring a short unilateral ceasefire with the pretext of being a goodwill gesture is a good move. It shows Trump that Russia is serious about negotiations to bring the war to an end and to show that Russia isn't opposed to ceasefires in general. And it helps make the point that long term ceasefires with no agreements or monitoring aren't really ceasefires.
But.....
Declaring a unilateral ceasefire in celebration of the defeat of the nazi 3rd reich and he's asking the banderite neo-nazis to observe it? That is just a muah chef kiss. Fucking hilarious.
The joke here is that this will just make them more popular.
New favorite band.
They are pretty good but I don't know what they are saying most of the time.
The real DPRK troops were the friends Russians made along the way.
Trump is doing tariffs because he ate too much american exceptionalism propaganda. Just like other presidents before thim thought that other countries would fold when they started wars he thought other nations would cave when he started a trade war. The only difference is that he lost the war in weeks where other presidents lost over years or even decades.
This is some insidious propaganda.
The first question is asking if current support is enough to win against russia. It is asking people if they believe in the facts. (The people that think Ukraine has enough support to win the war are totally delusional or they are people who weren't really answering the question and instead were pre-empting the second question)
The second is asking what people think should happen done but the two questions are not interdependent. The implication is that everyone who answered the survey wants ukraine to win.
The second graph shows how many people think giving Ukraine more money is dumb. The first graph is absolutely useless information because you can't draw any conclusions from it but using it as a context galvanizes the people who already want to support ukraine to support it harder.
The goal is to push the "keep up support" block over to "increase support" using the "reduce support" as a bogeyman. To people who are against funding ukraine it just looks like "europeans don't make sense"
The current ruling party is running for reelection on the promise that they will protect penalty rates (higher wages for evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays) I'm not hopeful considering their environmental "protection" platform that they ran on last election ended up being a massive deregulation on fish farming and expansion of coal mining.
And instead of a "carrot" style controlled opposition in australia we have a "stick" of the blue party.
This belongs over in Shit reactionaries say.
Tariffs get dropped by usa. China demands that Trump post hog in order to begin negotiations.
Pope's dead.
Pope Francis was history’s first Latin American pontiff who charmed the world with his humble style and concern for the poor but alienated conservatives with critiques of capitalism and climate change.
