When I'm unsure about how tackle a build I use reference images from Google or Pinterest, sometimes completely copying them and other times combining different elements of builds together to make something new.

I did my work study at the college library and a fun perk was that most of the events were hosted in the library lobby because it was the biggest indoor area on campus. I got lots of free food that way.
I work 9 hour days with a 30 min lunch 6:30 - 4:00, Mon - Thurs. Then Friday is a half day, 6:30 - 10:30, its kind of growing on me. And if I feel like it I can just work a full day Friday and get easy 4 hours of overtime.

I was finally able to craft my favorite shield design
This was a design I made in a creative world almost a year ago that uses both a thing banner pattern and a creeper charge banner pattern. After raiding two ancient cities I only found one god apple which I didn't want to use for this. Third ancient city had 5 god apples and I'm not even done raiding it.

How I do it is torches on the left to know the right way home, and any dead ends I'll block with a horizontal line of cobblestone, or maybe just 2 cobblestone on either side of the entrance if I'm running out.
Finally put together my personal armor trim set, I like how well it works with the cape.

Managed to link two overworld portals together to one in the nether
I believe the two portals in the overworld have to be under 128 blocks apart total and also should be at least 8 blocks apart horizontally. I just used some simple 3D coodinate math and built the one in the nether at the midpoint.
I recently started a server using the Modern Beta mod with the "Beta Skylands" terrain generation. It's so fun to explore what feels like Minecraft from an alternate timeline.
