  • Mastodon seems to be good but I've never used Twitter not even before Elon Musk, I always disliked these kind of Twitter-like platform.

    I tried to use once (also before Musk) but just stopped using in 2 or 3 days.

  • I download the song once using yt-dlp, then I use Musicbrainz Picard to fetch song metadata like author, cover, title, year etc... Then I listen 100% offline in any mp3 player app.

    I send my songs encrypted to pCloud free tier (gpg) just to keep a backup somewhere else.

    In other words, not a single online service on earth know what I'm listening to.

  • I gave up on friendship, instead I focused on handling my own feelings, meditating, learning about them. It's not easy, I always had to deal with loneliness, my whole life, but then I had to make a decision, keep suffering or learn how to deal with it.

    Today I don't miss anyone most of the time, I'm just alone, no girlfriend, no friends. It's still a work in progress tho, not easy to surpass the loneliness feeling.

  • Honestly I add AI related shit to my cv, we've no choice when it comes to corporation hell. If you're a programmer it's nearly impossible to avoid AI, I add "prompts, MCP, fine-tuning and GUFF", but not "prompt engineer".

    To me, the real Linux experience is Arch.

  • Well by my own experience I had discussions here that my opinion were pretty controversial, but I didn't see anyone whining to me, they just told me they disagree and that was all.

    It's not rule but compared to Reddit it feels another universe.

    That's why I think Reddit shouldn't migrate to here.

  • Even if your alias is leaked they can remove the + part and it'll lead to your original email without aliases. They probably do some data formatting on emails to no get caught so easily and obviously.
