  • Dialogue is a big part. I think the thing I have noticed in the internet is the reduction of red vs blue. Old vrs young. Left vs Right..etc etc

    This seems to encourage a right vrs wrong arguments or a virtuous points scoring system. Deploying a dog whistle slogans is a tactic of either side of this

    I view it as an effort to shut down the other side rather than hold dialogue and debate.

  • I’m European. Aldi was my fav anyway. However the range you get is very limited. That’s assuming you have a Aldi close by. It gets frustrating. I bake sometimes you just don’t get the ingredients you need there.

    I’m not arguing. Colesworth are prats. They have conditioned people to put up with their crap, and most just accept it.

  • It’s hard to get a full shop from though. And IGA is nice but somewhat expensive, and a bit hit and miss of quality/stock in store. New Aldis have facial cams.

  • We need to get past this idea of smart being the key, Everyone is smart in their own way. I spent a good few years in stem, everyone says oh your so smart. I am not i am logical and persistent (or as i see it unfortunately obsessive).

    Second your schooling likely led to this path, cognitive edu models, alongside problem solving roles amplifys the idea of smart. Reality you leaned to your strength, not everyone gets the means to do that.

    Don't feel guilty for doing what you are good at and what your edu pointed you at. If you want to feel grounded again why not try giving back by teaching, mentoring, upskilling, voulenteering to local community projects or running workshops etc.

    It pisses me off when those around me complain about the young, if the young can’t build lives they have nothing to conserve.
