While I run straight Fedora on some of my systems now, I do agree the Atomic versions are a boon for stability.

Used to use Ubuntu and Mint for desktops, but they are a bit too vintage with the kernel and package versions, and everything is moving very fast with Wayland replacing X11 and lots of kernel driver improvements for modern hardware (especially AMD hardware), so being on Fedora is the next best thing to the bleedingest edge Arch when it comes to uptodateness.

The irony being, I trust the BYD vehicles more than I do Tesla to hold up. Chinese quality =/= crap quality anymore. They've done a massive manufacturing speedrun from zero to competitive in less than 20 years.

I use a pfSense router and using the DNS Resolver, I get local dns just fine (and it relays DoH or DoT for even more security), but you can install OPNSense (or even pfSense CE) on any computer with at least two ethernets for the same functionality.

Android is a rough one, because often it doesn't use local dns and prefers to use google dns directly unless you manually specify a dns.

AI auto detection is a coin toss at best - and it often hurts real artists/writers when they're false positive'd, which is far too often.

People didn't magically forget how to proofread or use Photoshop (or similar tools) when AI generation became popular - the good fakes are just better now. Small "tells" can be fixed in post by anyone that has previously done "photoshopping" work... the kind of people who have already been doing such things before AI generation. AI generation just makes it easier and faster if you know how to use inpainting or img to img.

I believe asteroid density increases the closer you get to the shattered planet. Slower speeds definitely help for carving through the rocks. You will need a very beast onboard manufacturing system. My Fusion Cube goes about 40 (it can do 120 at ful speed) when it's cutting into the Shattered Planet for prometheum, and from what I've seen from players who have made it to shattered planet, that's about the speed they're going too... and they're also making and firing nukes to get through the rocks and using ablative armor landmine platforms.

With how often everyone's been slamming things the past decade, being a door repairman is going to be a very good business...
