  • That's exactly the thing. Trump is a liar, but he's not lying about what he's doing, he's lying about the outcomes. When called out for shit, he lies then too, but he has told everyone exactly what he has wanted to do. A vote for Trump was a vote for a racist, bigoted, rapist, wanna be dictator. His literal words were that he wants to be a dictator. There is no trickery in what he said, and the people that voted for him wanted exactly that. Now they're upset it's hurting them, and that's about the only silver lining I'm find through all of this. If it wasn't affecting me and mine, I'd have died from schadenfreude a month ago.

  • Do you think that all TV prior to streaming services was just a bunch of soap operas?

This may be a surprise, but TV shows with plots that span episodes and seasons have been around about as long as TV shows have been. Mad Men and Breaking Bad are two shows that had weekly episode releases, were critically acclaimed, and aren't soap operas. How about The Sopranos, Star Trek, or Doctor Who? I'd argue there are a lot of shows that were released as full seasons that are more boring than some if not all of the five shows I listed. So I do think there actually is something more boring than old TV.

All that said, full season drops are better than weekly releases for me in most cases, but in general, it doesn't bother me either way.

  • Take note other Dems, this is how you lead. You don't just piss and moan about something and talk about how bad things are, you get your ass in a plane and you fucking fight. I wish my state (Iowa) weren't full of Nazis because it fucking sucks to have "representatives" that are complicit in the exact things these other senators are fighting to correct.

  • On a rolling release like Arch the benefits are pretty clutch. I was messing with my DE the other week and broke something so I couldn't get in. With GRUB and btrfs, I loaded a snapshot on reboot, typed a command to set it as my active, and restarted. Everything worked perfectly.

  • A lynching is visually terrifying, sends a strong message, and gets the job done. That could be our thing.

There were some Nazis that gathered downtown in my city the other day, and they could have been a great choice for alpha testing.

  • Replaceable batteries would be nice. I can get probably 6+ sessions at 190°c before needing a charge, but it also has charge pass through, so I can use it while charging. If I had USB C like the Mighty+, I'd be able to to it off with a portable battery pack.

For me, I don't think I've been without power for long enough where it's been I problem, but I have planned poorly before.

  • I've been eyeing the Mighty+ because the barrel charger for my mighty is damaged. I could buy a new charger, but I would really like USB C. Hard to justify the price when my unit still works though. Right below the barrel, one of my wires broke, so I just make them touch to charge. I need to strip it back and solder it, but I've been lazy.
