The move has been heavily criticised by Taoiseach Micheál Martin who described it as “excessive”.

Thanks. Handy to know that I can just ignore that message. Although it means I can't see what I upload in voyager...

I get "Failed to load media" message whenever I try to upload an image or video in voyager... 🤷
I tried again in the first comment below.
Robbo's post on Instagram 😢

Well blow my socks off with a shotgun. I misread alternativeto. But my statement about them still stands. They are no longer trustworthy imo, and they have been using nasty tactics to force businesses to pay them. Also, we need more options so that reviews can be double and triple checked.

Trustpilot alternatives
I have been thinking about looking for more European alternatives to Trustpilot for a while as Trustpilot are not trustworthy in my opinion.
They have removed legit reviews and are very expensive for businesses. They have been reported to use aggressive sales tactics, pressuring businesses into paid plans by highlighting negative reviews or offering better visibility for positive ones. Trustpilot has been failing for years to do what it claims it does. For both the customer and the business end.
For both (customer and business), it is better to post reviews on multiple platforms, and for us, it is better if the review platforms are European. I know these are already fairly well known and used in some countries, but not everywhere. Please post links to any others, as I could only find two and hope that there are more.
TrustProfile 🇳🇱 🇪🇺 *TrustProfile is more than just reviews. TrustProfile combines an extensive review tool with informati
You could buy all of these for that price. https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-mini-pry-bar.html
Thank you. Every time I think the US election system couldn't be any more open to corruption, I'm proven wrong. Learning something new every day.
Excuse my ignorance, but what does this mean? He threatens to 'primary' members of Congress?
I've tried searching, and that wasn't much help, employees of said member are to quickly start looking for another job. Something happens at the end of term.. And a Time magazine article, which was beyond useless in explaining what it is.
I'm none the wiser.. 🤷
Imagine having to "investigate" somebody for what they said loud and clear on stage on air, viewed by millions. What they really mean is that they are looking into whether or not they can cause sufficient outrage against Bob Vylan to arrest them for speaking out against a violent regime, and vocalising to end their army wing that is terrorising an entire country and killing thousands of innocent people.
I thought that was a photoshopped fish..
And it was much less than that until they saw that he was profiting from it. He should've been fined everything he got for it including his initial cost to buy it.
He didn't get fined enough imo

Would we have to include Lemmy?
The scary thing is, as if we hadn't already known, it shows how much they rely on that data.

This is in an Irish online news publication this evening.
Reminder for everyone to check your online presence and purchases
He made a typo. It should read "there is not another military in the world that would have done this"
Thanks, that looks good. It should work with the p20 pro, right? Maybe with a different WiFi chip, I'll look into it a bit more, but lineage and postmarketos being an option are way better than I was expecting 😀. Glad I asked now.

Have I any options with Huawei P20 Pro/P30 Pro?
I have access to two phones that are no longer being used, a Huawei P20 Pro and a P30 Pro. Through a link on the PotatoNV git page I saw HCUClient which I believe makes it possible to unlock these phones and unlock the bootloader if I buy the software for €19 for 72 hours.
If I unlock the bootloaders, are there any privacy oriented ROMs available for them, or any options at all?
When I search, it seems that because of the bootloaders being locked, nobody had worked on anything, although some posts in random corners of the internet say that there are a couple of options, but without confirming anything.
Meta said in the announcement that the new features are built “in the most privacy-oriented way possible,” and has emphasized that sharing of data between WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook will only happen when users have opted in to having their accounts linked.
So, not private at all.. "most privacy-oriented way" - The same way that users need to activate "advanced chat privacy" manually on every single chat while they roll out and embed their bug ridden AI.
Probably best for all of us if nobody can ever have nuclear weapons, but what do i know..
Realistically, the majority of people will not switch to threema @ €5.99. It's already extremely difficult to get people to leave WhatsApp. They're not going to pay for it.

Signal isn't EU based, but afaik not profiteering or harvesting data.
EDIT:
There are quite a few EU based according to this.

Europe needs digital sovereignty - and Microsoft has just proven why.

Call to action: Businesses already offer great European alternatives for digital sovereignty, authorities must start adopting them now!

A quiet but deeply unsettling moment just shook the foundations of international justice, proving why Europe needs digital sovereignty - and most Europeans not too interested in tech likely missed it: The Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), a court based in The Hague and central to Europe’s upholding of human rights, suddenly found that his email account was shut down. The service provider? Microsoft. The reason? Mr. Trump.....

European crypto wallets?
Are there any good European crypto wallets? Hardware or otherwise. On Android or desktop or alternatives to Trezor or Ledger? I don't have a lot (€590 btc and €400 eth).
Looking to build on them and for secure storage. Thanks.
EDIT. Sorry, I also meant to add that I'm looking for a wallet with multichain support, so that for example I could convert my bitcoin to USDT or another stablecoin without having to go back an exchange.
