That is entirely my relationship with Path of Exile. I have difficulty listening to podcasts / audiobooks without it because I feel like I need something to do with my hands to absorb anything
I never find myself feeling 100% rested after playing video games. When I'm trying to get some reading done hopping on a mindless game and listening to an audio book really helps me absorb the info though.
Yeah, I'm trying to pursue more activities outside of reading theory so I can have more in common with my community. Being a politics nerd is great but your average person won't respect you until you've already built a connection with them.
I tried growing some tomatoes last summer but struggled. I think I didn't fill my containers with enough dirt. Next year I hope to have a tub of kratky veggies + give tomatoes another shot!
The first half of chapter one is a struggle but the second half made a lot more sense to me. I think next week I'll re-read chapter 1 to help it sink in and then read chapter 2. Essentially doubling the amount of reading but fuck it if I didn't push through before reaching 100% understanding it'd take me a lifetime per chapter lol.
Yes, but the cities they live in are designed to support car infrastructure instead of being walkable / having adequate public transit. Cities are designed in this way to serve the interests of the wealthy.
The wealthy are the architects of the system we live in, and they resist any desire for change with all the power at their disposal. The disinformation they spread with media outlets they own, the lobbying to reduce regulation, outsourcing, etc. all play far more of a factor than your average persons agency.
Austin, we won.
