Have you ever been to Tiananmen Square?

I went there in 2009. I was too young to appreciate the culture. Locals were busy selling tourists goods and I wasn’t even sure what to soak in at the square.

Assange will definitely remain in Belmarsh prison.

I was trying to find an Oasis, and all the lights that light the way are blinding

I feel as though the user base is a large part of the problem. I might be wrong but the accessibility of social media that have apps is a lot easier for the younger population who these days are flooding social media. I don't think a lot of people use forums or currently Testflight apps such as Memmy (for Lemmy). The iPhone is the phone for influencers and if Lemmy officially releases an iPhone app the same problems may happen.

Can you find Lemmy posts on google/search engines now or in the future?
My understandings on the Fediverse is unclear right now. Will you be able to search for posts just as in stack overflow and reddit right now?

When the workforce dominated by workers at the edge of retirement they want to go to work at least 5 days of work for their sanity. They don't even care about their pay. Only a workforce with the same goals would understand. I know people who try to extend hours and have no plans after work. I on the other hand want to get the job done as fast as possible and makes plans afterwards.

They are just following the reactionary social media norms these days. The lack of proper passing of information and just humoured by the subreddit protests such as in r/pics. Some people are not actually on Reddit for information.

Are there any Reddit refugees spending more time on Lemmy than Reddit?
I am theoretically switching over from Reddit to Lemmy. Finding myself spending more time on Lemmy than on Reddit. Maybe it's because I am limited to using the desktop and can't aimlessly browse Reddit on my iPhone. Of late, the only subreddits I cared for were on sports and their matchday threads and r/watches. I found myself aimlessly browsing through r/AskReddit and asking and answering pointless questions.

Does anyone else think lemmy.world is a reference to "hello world" and programming?
I subconsciously felt that this "lemmy.world" instance was for those with at least a smidgeon of programming knowledge. Otherwise the name just seems odd.

How to subscribe to a community in another instance?
When I subscribe in a community in another instance it always says "pending " in yellow. I can comment but I am not officially subscribed to the community. E.g. subscribing to "[email protected]"
Maybe I just need to wait.
Edit: It says "subscribe pending" in yellow

Which Lemmy instance will be the biggest in 6 months?
Refer to title.

If I was to sign up for the Lemmy.ml instance
Does anybody knows how long it takes to sign up for the Lemmy.ml instance with an account? It would give me the green wheel and I don't know if I have to wait "x" amount of time or it's just not possible at this time.
