You should read the guy's explanation. It legitimately seems like an honest mistake, but given his work was specifically geared towards avoiding a situation like that I'm not surprised he was let go.
Well this is a very, um, specific recommendation, but LemmyNSFW was the go to place for adult content on Lemmy but it recently died and has been replaced with Fedinsfw.app. You know, in case you need a specialized alt...

From the looks of it it's a decent movie, well reviewed, audiences liked it, just not making much money. It happens, could be bad timing at the box office, movie fatigue, etc.
In her* my bad* defense I know it's been down for days, but I clicked a link to a lemmynsfw post this morning and it did open, then I tested it again a while ago and it didn't, so it is weird.
This is how the NFL has operated for a long time. Put an innocuous bit of text in one section of the agreement, then use it for a wildly different reason than it was intended for and get the right judge to rule on the new interpretation. Remember when they gave Brady a 4 game ban? They admitted in court they had no evidence he actually did anything, then appealed to a 3 judge panel who ruled the CBA says they don't need proof, they just need to prove they followed a process and can then ban for "actions detrimental to the league" even without evidence.
