  • You want people to push for progressivism by... doing nothing.

Congratulations. You're a slactivist. This is why people in the democratic party refuse to take progressives seriously.

You don't get 100% of what you want, you huff your little noses, and take your ball and go home. Then you have the gall to snipe from the sidelines when you have no skin in the game.

People that act this way are just as guilty of our current situation as trump supporters.

  • You're good man I'm having a vent fest about it too, haha.

It's just frustrating. It's usually people from privilege who do this, then they spread this shit and other people fucking buy it.

    It's infuriating.

  • Exactly. I'm very liberal, but I'm also a pragmatist. If we get half of the shit we want, lets fucking go. The idea that every single promise Biden had given that wasn't fulfilled was a reason to sit out was fucking stupid. The biggest one was student loan forgiveness. He did something, and the fucking republicans played lawfare to stop it and even then he still forgave almost a quarter of a billion dollars in loan debt.

    Like...

How fucking entitled, and spoiled are you, that you let perfect be the enemy of good? Get out of your privileged bubble, and actually pull the fucking dog sled with everyone, instead of standing off to the side preaching about how you'd do it better.

  • I voted for Clinton and Harris enthusiastically. Are they perfect candidates? No. No candidate is perfect, and that's the problem with online leftists. Seemingly, they will only get off the couch when they have 100% of what they want. This is also why the party doesn't court leftists in this country. Because even if they give them 80% of what they want, that 20% will keep them on the internet complaining they're not getting that 20.

  • That's not true at all. Online liberals would have found some other thing to crucify Harris over. The idea that some of you guys didn't support a candidate because of the actions of a foreign government, is simply baffling to me.

  • He never looked unbeatable. The US news refused to do any due diligence on his plans. Literally every major economist (or something like that) endorsed Harris.

Once again, the news media refuses to take responsibility for the fucking mess they helped create.

  • Honestly I'm glad the sleigh is gone. It was so bad in my mind.

I'm also interested in seeing where the fluff is going. From the releases so far it doesn't look like we're going to get Russ though, which I think is a good thing.

  • Bernie is just too old. I'm tired of geriatric people being in charge, to be honest.

He believes all the right things, but the issue is he has never, in his time in the senate, ever gotten anything major passed.

That is a huge part of leadership. You can't just 'be right' you have to also get things done. I love love love Bernie's ideas, but he has never been a good leader in that dept.

  • So the issue with this thinking, is that those percentages will still be there no matter what candidate it is. I do agree with you that people generally prefer leftist policies. I'm a progressive, and would love a Bernie platform to be the policy foundations for the country.

The issue is, if you're going to voluntarily cede 2-4% of your electorate just because they are a woman, why not run someone who's a guy who has the same policy legs.

  • Totally fair. I'm here for the Wulfen. I'm not here for frost-claws on wolf-riders bearing the wolf-wolf signum or whatever. Russ would work fine, but I feel like there are better choices to bring back primarch wise. I'd personally pick Vulkan or Dorn first.

Vulkan, because he's a perpetual and would have really cool rules, Dorn because he could come back as the Penitent Primarch, admitting that Sigismund was right, and instead of the Praetorian of Terra we would get the primarch of the Black Templars instead.

  • The declaration of independence literally tells the people to take apart a government that is no longer working for the people.

Not that any of the republicans in congress actually have read such documents.
