Wow. I got played then. I paid the absurd $20 price because I used sync for reddit since it's creation and loved it. I thought sync for lemmy would be a smooth transition and I wanted to support the dev. Why did he quit development?
Thanks lol. I went ahead and just did all the work myself and installed a 14kw system withoit falling for the loan scam.
I'm sorry trump fixed what? There is 0 incentive for any company at all to make a better product. There's no money in making good products. If you can only sell something once you go out of business. Look up that pan company that made some of the best pots and pans but then had to file for bankruptcy. Second of all stocks are the ONLY thing that matters in our current version of capitalism. Making money for the investors is the sole goal for corporations. If the incentive isn't to make a good product, but to monopolize the market so there's no one that can make a product better than yours then the end goal is to own the law that will can prevent you from owning everything. Which is where trump comes in, dismantling laws and regulations that hold corporations accountable. Not only is Trump not fixing anything, he's actively the guy inside politics changing the rules to benifit corporations and stocks. And the fact that he's failing this hard is comical.
From time to time? They go nuts for broken eggs. Source: currently have chickens. But I got rid of the ones that had egg breaking habits.
It's pretty easy to make yourself too btw
I don't think there would be much of a power vacuum at all. Putin is hardly the head of the organizing that is all in the Kremlin. He's more puppet than leader. His death is probably already accounted for.
Which is it? That Elon stole all the ideas for the tesla, that all of the work and engineering that went into it have nothing to do with Elon, Or Elon made the teslas and as mediocre as they are they were the ONLY electric vehicle that had a 100+ mile range for years which is why anyone I know that has a tesla have one.
My friend got one off auction and fixed it up because he has a leaf and the 40 mile range wouldn't get him to Seattle and back home. The tesla did. His motive had nothing to do with Elon, and he can't stand him as much as you. And he can't sell a salvage title vehicle. Are you going to tell me he deserves to get his car shat on?
Is there still no fix to this?
I'm not approving of this action, but what environmental work is habitat for humanity doing? Isn't it like a good will for home construction and furnishing?
It was most definitely bought using your tax money.
This works again?
Yeah, probably. It's a non profit but I don't know how that money gets audited. If law even applies here.
No idea what you're talking about but Christianity is definitely a real thing, and it's not the Christo fascism that you've been exposed to.
No
Hi I'm a Christian and I care. The goat seems to be made to auction to spread awareness for human trafficking. Very bizarre to go with this method though. I also know nothing of the organization and it's effectiveness in helping stop child human trafficking. Especially after that movie and the backlash it got with how little it did in helping the actual core issue. Bunch of hypocrites.
Carriers don't care. They are selling you data. They don't care how it's used. Google is selling you a phone. Apple held down the market for a long time for being the phone that has some of the best security. As an android user that makes me want to switch phones. Not carriers.
If you want to talk money then it is in businesses best interest that money from their users is being used on their products, not being scammed through the use of their products.
Secondly machine learning or algorithms can detect patterns in ways a human can't. In some circles I've read that the programmers themselves can't decipher in the code how the end result is spat out, just that the inputs will guide it. Besides the fact that scammers can circumvent any carefully laid down antispam, antiscam, anti-virus through traditional software, a learning algorithm will be magnitudes harder to bypass. Or easier. Depends on the algorithm
What about qualified? Is there an argument to be had about hiring someone that is more qualified rather than on diversity?
I'm not trying to be facetious here. I work as a union electrician and we have a diverse group, but majority of our workforce are men. On one project we needed 2 crew to run trench conduit (an apprentice and journey level to stay in ratio) but because it was a government project the hiring required us to also stay in diversity ratio. So the project manager anticipated the difficulty and hire 3. A woman and 2 men. All 3 were working on the trench, but due to the nature of the work (harder physical labor) the woman ended up holding a sign for the remainder of 6 months she had to be there to "fill" the diversity hire, as the original planned 2 man crew ran the trench to stay on schedule.
In this scenario should there be a bigger budget for diversity hire to compensate the additional labor required due to qualifications not being met? Of course it easily could have been a rock of a woman and 2 men who couldn't lift a shovel too. But if that was the case the unqualified labor would have been rotated out instead of staying to fill a required diversity slot. It could have been 2 people like originally planned and both could have been women who were qualified to do the work. But that means it's qualification over them filling their diversity roles.
On the surface hiring based off merit sounds better than hiring for diversity, but is it that merit is harder to achieve in diverse communities because of socio economic class? Racism basically?
So my current model P1S is safe from all this bs?

Help. Wife found this in her egg this morning

Has anyone had a whiteish mass in their egg before? I looked online and some people said it's intestinal lining some said ovary parts. Not sure, but it looks too big to be the white strandy stuff.

Got a Bambu P1S but the build are low quality

Hey guys I got the bambu P1S a couple months ago because it was recommended. I'm super new to 3d printing. This is my first one. I'm not new to electronics or computers. I ran a few of the built in prints, a dinosaur puzzle and this scraping tool but both came out fuzzy and in poor build shape. What can cause this? Shaky table? Cold temps (the printer is in my insulated garage getting around 65 degrees at the moment inside)? Is the stock bed bad? The filament it came with bad?
Thanks for any advice.

Is it worth the solar panels I'm getting?

I'm sorry for posting this here. There isn't a solar panel instance, nor did I see anything for electricians. I know there's been a lot of gripe with certain solar companies (solgen being in litigation, and others) but I didn't hear much about freedom forever, since they're new to Seattle area where I'm doing this. Reddit seems to hate this company. But the price seems alright. I'm paying $22k for 7.4kw but getting it down to 15k after the state stipend. Less than $3 a watt which I'm guessing is really good. I'm planning to pay it off in 2 or 3 years. Not the full 25 which will cost me so much more. Can anyone point me in the right direction and if I'm making the right decision?

Is my peach tree dead?

I'm not sure what happened but my peach tree isn't getting leaves. The branches on the end are brittle but I did a little cut on the tree bark on the trunk and it was green under so I don't think she's dead. I'm not sure what may have caused this. I thought at first it was because she didn't get enough chill hours but we got over 1000 hours here in Seattle area.

Adding TV to bedroom without using mainstream smart device
Sorry if this the wrong place, I couldn't find an HTPC, home theater, techsupport, or equivalent instance to ask.
The gist is I want to add a TV to my master bedroom for my wife to just browse the web, and for my kids to have something to watch in the mornings while my wife gets out of bed. I have a main pc in my theater room for gaming, and an HTPC on projector for movies and stuff. I don't want to get a roku or any mainstream smart device, but I'm OK with getting something like a raspberry pi (never done this) to have an air mouse hooked up to the TV so my wife can browse the web, open YouTube, Netflix, steam books, Spotify, as well as access my pc library of content for viewing. Not for gaming. Everything I'm finding online is people connecting their pc to their TV and it's always for gaming. I don't need large processing, just enough to watch things, while connecting to my home computers.
Thank you.
