Another factor not addressed is the erosion of Community while raising a child. You used to get support from everyone living around you. Now that the society in cities (where most people live) is fully atomised, people barely know their neighbour's name, you are left alone. Even if you have money, you can only salvage this to an extent, by throwing money at the problem (maids, creches) but it's not the same.
GDP-anything is a useless metric. If scientists were in charge of the world and not economists, it would have been discarded a loong time ago.
Wikipedia is free. You're not the product in that case.

I hate to get into an unrelated discourse, but I think there's an understanding to be reached.
OP your use of AI is... fine. It's okay. The image itself is weird and perhaps takes away from aesthetics, but that is a subjective opinion.
I am surprised that it is a hill to die on issue for some people. People citing water usage etc. seem uninformed about the scale. Asking individuals to not play with AI on their own machines is akin to asking people to "check their carbon footprint" while corporations spew a lifetime amount of carbon in an hour.
You can't just pick a side and call everyone else names. Understand the nuance, understand why you hold an opinion.
People are not ready to hear this, but the problem is that "Housing" is being treated as a market, not a basic human right. As long as governments are full of homeowners who will lose a lot of money should the house prices go down as a result of abundance, the problem will keep getting worse.
In most countries, the middle class is seduced into thinking of buying a house as an "investment".

Infosys itself is a scam company. They literally train their "consultants" to absurdly mark up the cost of things that could be done by 1 mediocre software graduate in a month. I have seen a simple project being worked on by a team of 8, and they milked that cow for at least 2 years.
All they need is some idiot non-engineer in the company they are targeting. If your government is using Infosys, know that your tax is being sunk into a pointless hole.
