I put this off for quite some time but I wanted to give some advice based on my experience with the Durston X-Mid Pro2+ DYNEEMA as well as with the Durston customer service team.

For context, my partner and I purchased a brand new X-Mid Pro2+ from the Durston site before setting out on the PCT last season for a thru-hike. We were extremely excited to have such an awesome tent for this kind of trek. Instantly you could feel the quality of the tent despite how lightweight it was.

TLDR; The Dyneema floor of our tent shrunk (& Durston's team confirmed DCF can shrink). If you are looking to buy this tent, I would advise you to get the woven

Hello, just wanting to share my experience in fixing my cheap Steam Deck from ebay. A litte bit of history how i got it: i was sniping for deals lower than 220$ for a working one, but i didnt get lucky, so i tried to snipe one in not working condition, and after not so much time i saw one guy who posted his SD for sale, there was only one photo and just "LCD 64GB not working" in description, without any detailed specification of problems. I was little suspicious about this listing (his ebay account was 10 years old, but no sales before), so i just threw a cheap offer of 80$, and he accepted it! I asked him, is SD even have all parts inside, and he answered "yes". Late

Today we installed a ducted aircon. It was a pretty chunky 15kw ish unit. Big, heavy, and hot as all get out in the ceiling space in the Queensland summer heat. Oh and itchy fibreglass insulation. 2 pm come around, we're finishing up, a bee's dick from the end.

I got sent back into the ceiling to take some photos. And on my treck through the ceiling space I placed my foot on a joist, but the edge of the timber was missing and was rounded off. I slipped. And fell though the ceiling. I was fortunate enough to catch myself so I didn't fall to the ground, but the damage was done.

Within 20 seconds of the fall my colleague had snapped a photo and sent it to my boss. Not the best way to

so i was watching Hikikomari Kyuuketsuki no Monmon and this photo of Komari's mother with a great ahoge popped out. And i was like:

"impressive

very nice

now let's see what Natsuki got to say to that"

so basically my question is, what is the biggest ahoge you've ever seen in anime? I'm curious how crazy it can get.

UPDATED: NLD (yesterday) another tiny light, Nite-ize Ziplit

18.5mm width, 7.7mm thick + 3.7mm for the flange on the back (see photo on mfgr page, https://niteize.com/ziplittm-led-zipper-pull ). Height is 21.1mm because of the little tab where the (non-removable) pull cord goes. Weight is around 2.5-3g. You could file that tab off if you wanted it smaller, then drill a small hole in the rear flange and run some paracord inner strand or dyneema thread through the hole, if you still wanted a lanyard attachment. Without filing the tab, it fits ok "edgewise" into an NDUR match safe (20mm ID), which seems ok because the space around the light is still usable for matches, tinder tabs, etc.

The output is about 1 lumen in a wide flood pattern, so it's like using your phone screen to see your way around. We've all done that, it's not super bright, but it works. It is definitely a (minimal) functional light and not just a location marker. I calculate (but haven't yet tested) that the little CR92

New 30-key sculpted design, WIP

Long time lurker, first post. More pics here.

My design has elements we are familiar with: columnar stagger, the Dactyl "scoop" (concave shape), and some splay (columns angled outward). But I've added an element I haven't seen in any keyboard before (though I did get some hints from this community).

Try this: look at your nails with your palm facing toward you (so your fingers will be pointing down toward your wrist). Notice that the tips of your fingers form a curve like a smiley-face. 🙂 That's the "scoop".

Now notice the angle of your fingers - they point inward. This is what your fingers do when they are curled over the keyboard (photo). Sculpted boards I've seen either have none of this angle, or they follow the concave scooped shape and set it in the opposite direction.

Keen to hear your thoughts, and I'm open to name suggestions!

EDIT: Changed photo

EDIT: Don't like how loud the hollow body sounds, going

555 based PWM Dimmer not working only with LED strips

I bought a PWM Dimmer based on a 555 from AliExpress to regulate the brightness of a 12V 1A 1 meter LED strip, I already built one myself years ago on a perfboard but this one was the exact dimensions I needed for a project. I built mine from components from AliExpress and components found in old electronics so I thought nothing functionally would change The dimmer is this one https://www.diymore.cc/products/pwm-10a-speed-regulation-led-dimming-ultra-high-linearity-band-switch but I attached a real photo of the one I got from AliExpress My problem is that it isn't doing any regulation while connected to LED strips, I tried with the 1m one and with another light that has three 30cm LED strips in parallel Every other light or motor I connected to it seemed to make it work. I really have no idea what could be causing this, maybe it's sensible to capacitance? LED strips are two long straight parallel contacts but I don't think it's enough to cause anything as displayed here in the video: h
