Do Me a Favor
Do me a favor:
tell me you don't love me,
that you never did.
Shatter me.
Don't leave a shard of hope
that I could cut my foot on.
Pulverize me,
so I can finally realize
this mess of a heart
can't be repaired

Hot Minute
The longest two months are between January and March
when you showed me how to take my time
So I took a hot minute and burned my calendar
I'd trade firsts for seconds if they include you
I don't want to feel this week, I crave your strength
What's mine is hours and I've plenty to give
Time is relative
and I'd like you to meet the family

the mountain

This is a poem I wrote recently, in the aftermath of a breakup. I don't really write poetry, but would like to get better at it.

Treasures

Treasures
By RavindraNemandi
If I could pluck the stars from the sky,
I would just to bring them to you.
If we could reach the furthest places,
I would explore the universe with you.
But the stars remain beyond my reach.
They glitter, fixed above us.
The void of space contains us here,
An island that sustains us.
So I will bring you all the treasures of the Earth.
Things that glitter, things that shine.
Things I've made and things i've found.
Things with patterns, things with flaws.
Things with stories and things to use.
Thinks that move, things that grow.
Things that swim and things that crawl.
Things with shells, things with fur.
Things that bite and sting and claw.
If we can't explore the universe together,
I'll bring you all the treasures of the earth.

The Fascists

I don't consider myself much of a poet. I'm more of a prose writer. I had to write one for a class, and I was inspired by the works of Imiri Baraka, Adrienne Rich, and Juliana Spahr, I wrote about a protest I had been at.
