Short for Singapore, apparently. First time I've heard it.
They also top the list of all time worst names for any company or product.

I get the feeling the Chinese don't particularly care to westernise their brand names anymore ...
I think they need to consult with any english native speaker and ask them what comes to mind first when you hear the term yangwang
That's actually not what BYD stood for originally, it was a reference to a city I think
