Do you consider floating islands to be an aspect of steampunk?

Airships are often just fantasy equivalents of sea-faring ships so it makes sense for there to be fantasy equivalents of the islands those sea-faring ships can visit. Basically, I see floating islands as a logical consequence of airships. But are floating islands also uniquely steampunk? I know airships aren't required to be steam-powered to visit floating islands, but the presence of floating islands always makes me think of steampunk. That is, floating islands aren't exclusive to steampunk worlds, and yet the presence of a floating island always makes me think a work is leaning more towards steampunk.

What do you think? When you see floating islands do you see that as an indicator of steampunk? Or does it just mean "fantasy" to you? What's your favorite work that includes floating islands?

(Are these questions contrived? Of course! I'm trying to seed discussions to kickstart a community here!)
