Myanmar Junta Suffers Heavy Losses as Four Bases Fall in Sagaing

Resistance forces have captured four junta bases and defeated a military unit in Sagaing Region’s Kawlin and Kantbalu districts over the past three months, the National Unity Government (NUG) said.

The NUG reported its People’s Defense Force (PDF) and allied Arakan Army (AA) troops had

killed 96 regime personnel, wounded 38, and detained 101 others—including pro-regime Pyu Saw Htee militia members—during the offensive. The joint resistance forces also seized 187 weapons, a large haul of ammunition, and other military equipment, the PDF’s military command said.
