Okay, hear me out. I have a theory:

I don’t know if I’m a genius or if I’m slowly going mad here.

They sorted out the pacing issues and writing is good but sometimes chaotic.
The foreshadowing at the beginning of little people was great.
The landscapes that they travel through are really nice. The train operating sequences are a cherry on top.
