Ubuntu Studio 24.04 KDE plasma version 5.27.12 KDE Frameworks Version 5.115.0 QT Version 5.15.13 Kernel 6.11.0-1011-lowlatency (64 bit) Graphics platform: X11
HARDWARE: Acer Aspire 3 laptop Aspire A315-23 Version V1.21
Issue:
Mouse works fine on USB when the laptop is plugged into power. If I unplug power, the mouse stops functioning entirely, even if I plug the power back in. Mouse trackpad works either way.
Feels like it's some kind of power saving thing maybe, but it should work when it's plugged back into AC right?
Had a browse and it all feels a bit over my head for fixing this.. Any ideas?
Thanks

Introduction Back in February I wrote some thoughts on Ubuntu’s documentation and its role within the community. NFS share mounted in /etc/fstab not showing in Nautilus
I have a local NFS share, which I'm mounting on boot in /etc/fstab. It works, and it's mounted - it's just not showing up in Nautilus' left pane, where other shares are present.
How do I get my nfs share to show up in Nautilus? My current /etc/fstab entry looks like this:
undefined
<IP address>:/volume1 /mnt/nas nfs defaults 0 0

Hi all - Sporadically I get this issue where text doesn't correctly display in the UI and a reboot will fix it temporarily (a day or so). See screenshot of right-clicking on a menu item. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks!

This is more or less a braindump of how dependency issues are being displayed and the evolution over the last couple of days; and not a high quality post. I’m happy to take feedback on understandability of the output 🙂 Explaining unsatisfiable dependencies is hard! the status quo is poor Apt did ...
As you may have read, triple buffering for GNOME desktop landed recently in Mutter 48.
