Lines of Battle: A deeply tactical browser game
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.world/post/28079662
Hello World,
Lines of Battle is an evolving, turn-based war game that simulates the Napoleonic, line-based clashes of yesteryear. It has excellent depth and the settings allow for quick or long games that fit the player's schedule. Ranked matchmaking is supported alongside custom matches and bot play to help get over the small learning curve. In addition, a map maker is featured, there is a quality community alongside clans (coalitions,) and the entirety of the game is free to play. An android client is also in beta for those that would rather tap and drag.

Anyone pick up anything good during the sale over the weekend?
Theocracy (new Civ 1 & 2 like 4X indie game)
We've just found out about a relatively new indie game called Theocracy which the author @kaptainkook says is his personal homage to Civilization 2. On closer inspection I can also see some Civ 1, Sid Meier's Colonization and Master of Magic influences too as the game appears to be a fascinating...

July 2023: What Have You Been Playing Lately?
Monthly check in post! The last one was poorly worded. I just want to know what people have been playing on general, as far as strategy games.
Homeworld 3's ships "are not responding to the player" when they respond to orders.
A brisk, competitive slice of galactic conquest misses the point of Stellaris.
What Strategy games have you been playing?
Title! Let's get some activity going on in here. Lately I've been mostly just cycling skirmish battles in Dawn of War Soulstorm with the Unification mod, Men of War: Assault Squad 2 and Gates of Hell: Ostfront. Love to create a battle with the AI and just relax, but I'd like to play more multiplayer.
What are you playing?
