Thursday's joint practice with his old team, the 49ers, marked a reunion for new Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who joined Las Vegas in the offseason after six years with San Francisco.

There were a lot of familiar faces flying around Jimmy Garoppolo during Thursday's joint practice between his new team, the Las Vegas Raiders, and his old team, the San Francisco 49ers, so the irony was not lost on the quarterback.
Not with the Niners defense woofing at him.
"First play, Dre [Greenlaw] was talking, got things going right away," Garoppolo said with a laugh, referencing the 49ers linebacker. "Those are my brothers. I love those guys. We had a good time out there competing."
The former Pro Bowl slot receiver has been under scrutiny after an injury-filled 2022 and several offseason receiver acquisitions.
I would prefer that Renfrow stay with the Raiders, but if he has to get traded I would love for him to reunite with TLaw and ETN in Jacksonville.
Josh Jacobs doesn't report to camp; Raiders respect his stance
Raiders running back Josh Jacobs did not report to training camp on Tuesday, as expected. Raiders coach Josh McDaniels said of Jacobs, "I look forward to seeing him when we see him."
Raiders sign three-time Pro Bowl corner Marcus Peters
The Raiders signed free agent cornerback Marcus Peters on Monday, the team announced.

Terms were not disclosed but, according to multiple reports, Peters received a one-year deal. The 30-year-old Peters, a seven-year veteran who missed the 2021 season with a torn ACL, was a free agent for the first time and is coming off a career-low one interception last season for the Baltimore Ravens. But his 32 career picks are 26 more than the rest of the Raiders cornerbacks combined.
The Raiders' six interceptions as a team last year were tied for the NFL low and only two picks came from a cornerback — backup Amik Robertson. Las Vegas was also last in the NFL in interceptions in 2021 with six.
