After almost 30 years my marriage is over. 29 years ago we brought a small truck and built the business up and still to this day the business is successful, now with 3 trucks and 3 employees, earning good money. We are both equal shareholders/directors 50/50. My question is can he decide to cut me out of the business because of our marriage break down?? He continues to say he pays me and doesn't want to be responsible for me anymore. I have always and still to this day am involved in the business (doing the accounts/ clerical side) while I brought up our children (now adults) Can he do this or should I seek legal advice??

You were driving like an idiot. I'm in the unfortunate situation where I occasionally have to deal with the horrors of road deaths and I don't appreciate people driving like this especially when I have my wife and kids in the car.
There was nowhere to go, pass one car, and you're still behind the next one in the queue. What were you trying to achieve?
Did no one love you enough to teach you the four second rule in the wet? Do you not know how to drive because no one cared enough to teach you? Are you ignorant of the dangers of passing without 100m spare at the end of the maneuver?
Was this a thrill for you? Are you someone who licks the edge of a razor-sharp knife? D

As per above. Obviously I know the root of all evil is money, and the government isn’t putting enough into mental health services. However, what practically do we have to do to train more psychologists?? For example, if you decide not to spend an extra three years after a masters to specialise (IF you get into a specialise course of 12 people), you can apply to be an intern psych - but there is only TWO places that are approved to train under the NZ psychology board (corrections and defence). Theoretically, why can’t trained, professional psychologists take trainees under their wing alongside guidance by a board?
Thanks!

Hey guys, Just needing to vent really, but advice and tips are always welcome. I'm 30, F, and finding the dating scene rather tough having been single for over a year. I have a decent job, hobbies I regularly enjoy, and would love to find a special person to share life with. I'm very content otherwise, and make sure to look after myself and keep social with friends. I work from home, so my chances of meeting someone IRL is slim, hence trying dating apps (Hinge and Tinder), but finding a lot of men are only interested in short term flings. Seriously considering moving back to the city to see if that'll help my chances, perhaps Taupo is too small. 😅 Thank you for listening, this is a bit e

Thank you to everyone who chimed in (pro and against) to my original post about the rage I feel towards inconsiderate people at supermarkets. I guess we can mostly agree that people are in their own worlds, and maybe not necessarily being outright inconsiderate.
I have dabbled in a bit of exposure therapy since my post, with an open mind, and...it's been pleasant? I've tried to ignore the inconsiderate, and also kept telling myself that they might be having a bad day or a rough time, and it hasn't gotten to me like it used to. I have even cau

As a Kiwi rail fan, I've been dreaming of a country where New Zealand has a proper, modern passenger rail network again like the UK — something that connects regions, boosts tourism, and gives us another choice beyond cars, buses, and planes. Here's my concept for a revived passenger rail map running on diesel-powered trains (no expensive electrification required).

It's a rough employment market and I thought this post might provide some comfort to a few people. I spent 5 months looking for a job and started up about 6 months ago. I have a master's degree and some prior experience.
In the six months that I've been working, I've witnessed multiple hiring cycles and I have been consistently appalled how unrealistic the requirements are. For example my current role is basically glorified data entry and admin. I am quite overqualified for the role in my opinion. I genuinely believe that almost anyone (with average or slightly above average intelligence, and a genuine interest in learning) could do this job. Despite this, the requirem
