That space between your car and the end of the parking area is lost for everyone as long as you stand there. If you park right at the edge of the valid area, that little space will be between you and the next car and can become a bigger space if cars are shuffled around and someone else might be able to park. Trees fell on BOTH of my cars yesterday.
There was a fifteen minute storm that passed by my house. Fifteen minutes. It was terrible and the winds were super intense. I heard a crash and looked outside only to find both of my cars had been crushed by two trees.

So my car was broken into and they tried to steal it last night....apparently this is some kind of tik tok challenge because kias have some sort of flaw in them that make them easy to steal....which makes these fucktards extra stupid...because they failed.
