The sides reached a new two-year, $5.25 million contract Monday. The deal has an average annual value of $2.625 million. Cates will also be switching from No. 49 to No. 27 for his jersey, according to his agent Ben Hankinson.
The Philadelphia Flyers have reportedly signed goaltending prospect Alexei Kolosov to a 3-year, entry-level contract.
Not sure how I feel about this signing after how it went down with Fedotov. But it's good to add prospects, I guess.
Another player is getting added to the somewhat interesting Flyers blue line.
The roster continues to take shape.
Great depth signing in my opinion, Staal brings experience to the group.

Summer may be in full swing for Flyers fans, but this week is part of hockey season for the organization as the team's annual Development Camp takes place at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, NJ.
