What if banks could protect your money against inflation – a proposal

Hey I am the creator of this proposal! I was just wondering about What if banks could protect your money against inflation. Feedback & more importantly criticism is vital for such project.
Disclosure : I have no banking & legal experience than some of what I learnt in 9th and 10th class and this is just a proposal to see how practical it is. Please don't discount it because of this fact and atleast still read it and please give me constructive criticism !

Could Discuss.online become the go-to USA instance?
Hello everyone,
Following the recent discussions on !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com and !lemmyworld@lemmy.world , it seems that people realize that Lemmy.world is subject to European laws, and not the US ones.
This is another event where US citizens seem to be looking for an instance that would adhere to their "legal culture", the previous one being the US elections, where the topic was discussed everywhere, before getting channeled into !politicaldiscussion@lemmy.world
I don’t know anything about Dutch or Finnish laws, but I’ve seen many recent articles about people arrested in Germany for their social media posts that were considered hateful or violent (which is frankly a culture shock to me as an American), so I can see why some of the posts on Lemmy in the past week would be concerning.

I am not sure where to post this - most of us on this instance probably use it as a "general-purpose" one to launch ourselves into the wider Fediverse, with only a few communities being here locally. @jgrim@discuss.online @lazyguru@discuss.online
I would like for Discuss.Online to defederate from the troll instance hexbear.net, to protect new users (who don't understand how communities work, local and remote) from being exposed to their toxicity and therefore drive people away from the Fediverse. I personally made the mistake of responding to a comment in a post in !ChapoTrapHouse@hexbear.net and continued to receive messages from them - each one triggering my Notifications - for WEEKS afterwards (and then did the same for lemmygrad.ml as well, though iirc at least one and probably both of these occurrences likely was from my prior instance StarTrek.Website, which I moved from to here b/c of Discuss.Online's much
I just ordered Vietnamese food from GrubHub and it was sooooo good.

I was hungry asf.
But damn, got some white rice, beef, and some veggies (cucumber and radish) all with that signature sauce that Vietnamese restaurants usually have (I'm not sure what it's called).
And by the Vietnamese gods, it was amazing.
Just like eating it at the restaurant itself; still nice and warm (but then again, the restaurant was nearby my area).
Came in a white plastic container or whatever material you call it.
Oh God, I look back fondly on that meal I had almost an hour ago today.
I was soooooooooooo hungry too and now I'm not.
How is it that you can feel horrible when you're hungry (physically and emotionally) and then feel content and all is right with the world after having eaten?
Dunno... Just don't know...
Anyway, how you all doing? And what did you all eat today (so far)?
Sublinks Home Page Progress
cross-posted from: https://programming.dev/post/11035068
Hey everyone! Ill be starting to share updates on the frontend visuals here like I was doing with Pangora before it got merged into Sublinks
Starting off with some progress I've been making on the Home Page. Been taking things I enjoy from both alternate frontends such as Photon and Tesseract, as well as Misskey forks like Iceshrimp and Sharkey.
People who followed me as I was developing Pangora might recognize a lot of similar design decisions
Still in progress but ill try to share new progress at least every couple of days when I work on it with new additions
The left sidebar can be collapsed to show only icons for people who want a bit more space for post cards
Hovering over an option adds a popover saying what it is
How often do you check Lemmy?
I remember when I was on Reddit I would check it several times a day. But with Lemmy there doesn't seem to be that much content popping up to justify that. I'm finding myself less addicted to the platform genre.
How often do you check Lemmy? What do you subscribe to that keeps you coming back?
What's the big deal with sound effects?
You’re not going to believe this: I was permanently banned from both these subreddits, r/SFXLibraries and r/AudioPost for “piracy efforts”! Where or how did I commit “piracy” in any of these reddit posts?! Only adding insult to injury; I got immediately muted from contacting both subreddit admins for 28 days! I didn’t even mention anything pirate-related like keygens or torrents. I just asked for help to locate these sound effect and music libraries to their source websites. Adding more insult to injury, after my 28 day mute expired, they muted me again for ANOTHER 28 days!
The same thing happened on r/TooAfraidToAsk when I tried to re-erect the page after Reddit's spam filter removed it after I was shadowbanned. r/TooAfraidToAsk claimed I'm now perma-banned due to breaking "Rule 3". How did I even "soapbox", "troll", "moralise", "sealion", or "spam"? They accepted it the first time and now I get booted for good this time?! It seems just asking this type of question is too dangero
Accountability Check-In (Dec 4 thru Dec 17)

I haven't been consistent with keeping up with my check-ins and even forgot to make a ckeck-in post here for last week so this post is to cover the fortnight we're in the middle of.
I really should automate a posting to help myself out.
Accountability Check-In (Nov 27 thru Dec 3)
Check-In each day with your progress
or
Start each day with a list of the most important things you want to accomplish.
or
Both
(I forgot to post this yesterday before bed. I should automate a posting.)
Weekly Wins
Big or small, share your wins from this past week!
Accountability Check-In (Nov 20 thru Nov 26)
Check-In each day with your progress
or

(I'm going to start posting these on Sunday evenings.)
Weekly Wins
Big or small, what was a win for you this past week?
I've been thinking about the Accountability posts and having one post for the week feels like it makes more sense than starting a new one everyday.
I'll create a Weekly Wins post on Saturdays
I'll create a Accountability Check in post each Monday.
Maybe I'll automate both.
