Q: Which came first, Felix's love for time puns or his Timekeeper career?
Sara: A baseline facility with time puns is a prerequisite to becoming a Timekeeper, so Felix was probably punning his way all through the application process.

Q: How did the bocular man idea come about?
Matt: The origins of the Bocular Man are twofold: 1) Wanting to include a capable assistant for Merlin on the expedition, and 2) Because it’s fun to anthropomorphize robots! There’s a long-standing tradition in Sci-Fi stories to include some type of artificial person (Data or Seven of Nine from Star Trek, Ash or Bishop from Alien, etc.) and we wanted to try our own spin on it! The jump in time and technology from Midst to Unend felt about right, and Bocular technology is just SO damn versatile: Whatever it is, it c a n happen!
