You may remember the story from the 2016 election cycle: the Uranium One scandal that rocked the Clinton campaign.

An anonymous informant came forward with credible intel that linked the Clinton Foundation to a Russian company's acquisition of Uranium One.

This controversial deal allowed Rosatom, Russia's state-owned atomic energy corporation, to gain control over about 20% of the U.S.'s uranium extraction capacity. The sale required approval from nine federal agencies, including the State Department then headed by Hillary Clinton.

Allegations arose that the approval was directly influenced by donations to the Clinton Foundation by individuals connected to Uranium One, sparking accusations of a "pay-to-play" scheme.

This is mostly BS. I pay for my own DSL internet over the phone line, which everyone who has a phone line should be able to get, and it is fast enough to stream video on my TV. Why should my taxes go to lay optic cable so people can have faster internet than mine? What a boondoggle!

Mayorkas’ loose standards caused people who committed fraud and money laundering to receive visas. In the five years since, she has quintupled that money as her net worth has hit $5 million. Her stick-to-itness is admirable.

Being on the Natural Resources Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee helped because they dole out billions with little oversight from the press or the public. Those assignments are donor magnets.

What politicians are getting kickbacks from this corrupt deal

Here is a lesson in crime for you. The easiest way for a politician or government bureaucrat to steal is by overpaying for government contracts with taxpayer money. You overpay by millions, and then you either keep the overpayment, or split it with the company you bought it from. Everyone gets rich.

This goes on every day in our government. I believe virtually every government agency official is stealing taxpayer money by the millions by overpaying for government contracts.

As an example, every time the government pays $1 billion for tanks, or ships, or fighter jets, or bullets, what makes you think the real bill wasn’t $900 million? That leaves $100 million to split up between politicians, government bureaucrats and the defense contractor. Who’d ever know? Who’s gonna talk? Everyone got rich.
