ChromeOS could be about to round the corner on a new look
chromeOS on NUC
I was wondering: did anybody manage to do this?
i have a quite recent NUC in my kitchen that currently uses debian but I am quite captivated by the google ecosystem.
i saw recently a video about chromeOS being installable on other hardware than chromebooks. Will it allow me to use google home/ android notifications/SMS etc... Seamlessly à la Apple?
Chromebook X
When does a Chromebook become more than “just a Chromebook?” That’s the question that Google has set out to answer with its “Chromebook X”...
This looks like not much more than a marketing gimmick. I won't be running out anytime soon to buy a Chromebook X.. It looks like they will be limited to AMD and Intel offerings; apparently, Google hasn't heard of the advances in ARM. I think Google should have stuck with developing a new PixelBook rather than this initiative.
Chrome book/OS for 91 year old
I'd like to replace my father's window pc with something simpler. I'm thinking ChromeOS. He's likely to only use it as a desktop with an external keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
I'm not familiar with ChromeOS. What are the minimum specs I should look for? Is there anything out there with in a NUC form factor? Any suggestions? Can I install ChromeOS on my own hardware?
