  • Credit where credit is do plexamp is the best option for what i want to achieve, I just hate having to authenticate through them and report the activity occurring between internal addresses.

  • I opened my server via web browser and started playing music and when i opened the app on my phone it didn't show anything as playing. Either there's a plugin i need to install, a setting i need to change, or it's not an option with jellyfin.

  • The joke is solid but if those are spoon tomatoes then next year you're getting over ran by them. They're self propagating and spread like a weed. Third summer in a row of not planting them and they still come back with a vengeance.

  • "We're all mad here" At me?

  • So I understand this correctly, you're using Fossify Calendar as the phone app that accesses your self-hosted calendar?

  • This was the second half of the fix that I needed. I filled this box with the address that shows when external connections would authenticate or play, and set "forwardfor" at the proxy, then the information came through. Thank you for this.

  • Turns out it was as simple as checking a box in my reverse proxy settings to enable "forwardfor" now to wait and see if the information actually gets passed through or if I have to do as NeryK suggests and enter the address in Jellyfin.

  • It's a thing. I forget the exact rules or the logic behind the game but the babies are put in ice cube molds and frozen. They're then handed out at the party to guests and the first guest to free their baby from the ice wins. It might have something to do with paralleling melting ice with waiting on a baby to be delivered? Either way it was a thing at a party i went to and i won.

  • I've had this game for less than a week and I've Jack Sparrow'ed my way into an A class freighter and i found a planet with glow orbs laying on the ground by the dozen. So i've got this crazy freighter and millions in credits but hardly any raw resources to build or upgrade anything.

  • Matrix chat has bridges that let you link a number of chat services like sms, facebook messenger, instagram messenger, slack, and a lot more. It's no trillian but it's as close to a modern equivalent that I think you'll get.

  • It'll do the same to a man's balls, too

  • That's a shame, i was holding high hopes for it. Good to know i should adjust my expectations when the time comes.

Never used the site myself as i'm still "plugged in" but i've kept this in my pocket for if i ever cut ties with music streaming. If you try it report back with your thoughts?

  • I prefer micro fiber cloth and rubbing alcohol. There's an stl where you cut the micro fiber into strips and attach it to thee face of a "scrubber". Gives you a handle ti hold and a flat surface to put against the print plate.

  • Save yourself time on downloading and look into tdarr

  • The issue is either the chromebook or the fully kiosk app, and i'm thinking it's the app. Post reboot it won't let me play music from or to the chromebook now.

  • The home assistant vm has 32 cores, the chromebook i'm not sure. I installed the fully kiosk app using the google play store.

  • Let's discuss the chromebook since that's where i want the issue addresses first. It's a chromebook with the fully kiosk app running and it displays my home assistant internal address in the web browser. Through the kiosk app it's a destination for media playback and the sound comes out of the chromebook speakers. The vm is assigned 24gb of ram and it's using 8 of that and it's using less than 1% of the 32 cpus i've assigned to it. If you're wondering, the hardware is an old dual cpu server with more resources than i could ever hope to use so i over fed most of the vms i'm running. I doubt it's a hardware issue on the server side but i'm willing to try anything.

  • It's my understanding that yes, that is an option but i'm in the camp that any step i make at this point will be towards being as cloudless and local as possible with services like this. I agree that i'd trust them over the others but i don't want to have to pick between a poor user experience, a large hardware cost, or trusting SOME company.

I've made automation for all of my most commonly said phrases and when using those it works but that limits it to only the things i've already thought to key in. Not very ideal but it works well enough.
