  • Ahh, I've been there. I'm sorry.

What are some things you like to do?

  • I'm alright, I have been feeling very lonely lately. How are you?

  • Well just so that in the future I am not getting more DMs if I don't want. I don't know, I'm sorry, I can leave it up.

  • The wording is very vague, not saying exactly how, but with how everything globally is going, I doubt just typing an age is what they mean.

  • Chat @beehaw.org

Looking for someone to talk to

  • Or not just coding into it already verified so you DON'T have to do all these invasive things like ID scans?

  • Oh no? I'm sure some people won't code workarounds..!

  • Literally how can they enforce this on Linux? It's open-source, people just won't choose those versions or edit that out of the code.

  • This is a wonderful video.

  • No, I would never trust them. General rule of thumb: don't trust Youtube advertisements. They seem very sketchy to me. Why would these companies and data brokers willingly delete your data by just asking? Not to mention that it would instantly resurface in a million other areas. The best thing to do is to instead not give out that information in general, or not make it obvious who you are.

  • No, no, but try to recognise and change some of your writing habits.

  • The article barely mentions this, and I haven't seen comments here mentioning it, but a huge factor in determining identities is one's writing style. In fact, analyzing the way people speak and write is its own science (linguistic forensics) and is also used by law enforcement (though can realistically be done by anyone with OSINT and basic understanding of individual linguistic patterns.) Dead giveaways are especially if you consistently misspell a certain word or use a certain emoticon or uncommon phrase or word, it's like a linguistic footprint. If Andy123 on Reddit and XxwhateverxX both spell appearance as appearence and both say booyah and both spell :) as (:, then it is much easier to tell that they may be the same person. This is something that you must be aware of, as well as giving out personal information like country of origin, amount of pets, place of work, etc.

  • Agreed! I also use the "if I recognise the brand, it is suspicious". I try to avoid larger brands when I can, because that means that most definitely they are bad, like Nestle and all the many brands Nestle owns.

  • Thank you so much!

  • The website just shows up as a white page for me.

  • My general philosophy is that if I see it advertised, be very skeptical. That's why I will never trust any vpn sponsorships, or deletme or incogni or anything, because they've been advertised a lot. Gotta be suspicious of everything.

  • I can relate. I've been on a privacy journey for months now, and I am constantly amazed at the quality of FREE and open source alternatives (many of them often come from Europe, so before I focused on European tech, I was already using a lot). You can have a better time and also have significantly better privacy for free, which I think has wonderful, and has made me feel much better and made browsing the internet a better experience.

    What?

  • What is it?

  • This just shows that our efforts are working! Wonderful!

  • I've found that the best things to ever happen to my creativity were playing roleplay games (like d&d) with friends and fanfiction, as silly and childish as it sounds. Creating OCs, as well. I focus on my OCs far before I focus on a story I want to write, and the most fun part of writing for me is writing characters.
