  • That's a crazy headline.

  • I can't compete with that.

  • The only real change was how open those assholes felt they could be. Doubt they increased or declined at all. They just got platformed.

  • Kind of. All you need is fat and lye. Some experimenting would need to be done but I'm somewhat confident I could figure it out.

And you could make a living selling it. Assuming you can convince people of its benefits.

  • And I've owned multiple cars where the plastics just crumbled away. The metal body panels lasted long after.

  • Sure, it's used as filler and bumpers a lot. But it's almost always the first thing to deteriorate on the vehicle.

  • I had no idea dolphins and even fish could smell.

  • Not sure about those polypropylene body panels though. Most cars are going to be exposed to the sun, a lot.

  • Saw it again. It's not super often or repeatable. A refresh usually works.

Also see a higher amount than usual of "failed to load media" in Voyager, though not sure if that's related or not. It doesn't give any more info.

  • I was hoping it would be one of those drives built to last hundreds of years. Oh well.

  • Damn, uBlock Origin straight up blocks this site.

  • The suicide netting really brings it together.

  • prager rule

  • I couldn't find this. Guess this is just for the meme. I found a crazy amount of similar content though.

  • I doubt that. If the way you're applying paint means you're losing so much to the air that you could damage nearby property, you might want to rethink your method. Paint is expensive.

    Image proxy breaking gifs

The image proxy appears to be borking some (all?) gif links. For example:

     undefined

    ![](https://c.tenor.com/Nfn2jAEKNpwAAAAd/tenor.gif)

The image proxy returns the response:

     json

    {"code":"validate-width","msg":"Too wide"}

Is it actually too wide or is this a bug? If it's legit, shouldn't the proxy make the necessary adjustments? Any way around this? Seems like tenor at least has large size low rez images. Not sure if this is a recent change on either end, but haven't had this issue before.

Any way to turn off scrolling past the content?

Every time I load a post it scrolls me past the post body. Any way to turn that off? I wasn't able to notice any relevant settings.

I'm seeing it on the darkly theme, but it looks like it's is a lemmy-ui native theme. So maybe this happens across other default themes as well.

A nationwide blackout. A broken economy. A widely contested presidential election. A populace terrified of its autocratic leader and his increasingly violent security forces.

    What’s a president to do?

Declare the early arrival of Christmas, of course.

Facing widespread domestic and international criticism over his claim that he won a July presidential vote, President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela is trying to turn the nation’s attention toward the one thing almost every Venezuelan loves: Christmas.

Boar’s Head Provisions Co. recalled liverwurst because it may be tainted with the listeria bacteria, the U.S. Agriculture Department said. The agency said a sample of Boar’s Head liverwurst from a Maryland store tested positive for listeria.

The company is also recalling deli-sliced meats made the same day on the same line as the contaminated liverwurst at a Virginia plant, the USDA said. The sample was from an unopened package, collected by health officials as part of an investigation into the listeria outbreak.
