  • Are you assuming gender based on username? That is like assuming gender based on a game avatar!

  • According to the documentary Futurama it is a tank with crab legs!

  • Cows and chickens can reproduce on their own. For chickens to reproduce you just need a rooster around. For cows you just need a bull.

The forced insemination is actively deciding which animal is bred with which other animal and when. It is a control thing with more reliability than just having them together in the same field and hoping it worked out. Without humans they would reproduce just fine.

As a species they would likely struggle for a while as they adapted to not being protected from predators and being able to freely roam would result in some roaming places where there wasn't enough food and water. Out of the millions of cattle there would be plenty of successes and they would live on and adapt.

  • They are still omnivores who choose to limit their diet. Acknowledging that is a choice gives it meaning, which would be lost if it was treated as something similar to being an herbivore.

I am not personally a vegan or vegetarian, but respect the choice to limit one's diet for the purpose of limiting animal suffering.

  • The problem is we want increases in efficiency that benefit 99% of people but the 1% want the opposite and can override everyone else.

    I remember shareware.

  • For me the most important thing about brands is not having huge logos over everything.

Second is personal experience with quality. I tend to stick with what has been well made in the past, but don't actively double check to see if a brand has been bought out by vulture capitalists unless I buy something and it sucks. Then I double check and try to swear off the brand. Lately I have been double checking for reviews and such before making any big purchase because of how prevalent that is.

Third is whether they are evil. Sorry, but with all the conglomerates buying everything up I can't keep up with who is shitty at the time of purchase but I do try to avoid things I know for sure are from horrible companies.

But when possible I buy things used because putting some long lasting tools or clothes someone bought but didn't wear to some use means less trash in the landfill and there is a lot of older stuff still around from before quality started sliding so much. For most things that I do buy used it is a sign that it held up well and also costs less than retail, so double bonus!

  • It is a symptom of how slop is overwhelming actual results, because regular sites that use AI to 'save costs' will just perpetuate the slop and when 99% of results are slop then it doesn't matter what your settings are.

  • They get fined for cursing. Tons of stuff that doesn't harm anyone else is banned. The government is overbearing and controlling, brainwashing everyone into meek conformity.

It looks like North Korea propaganda.

  • Barely anything from childhood to adulthood except for maybe a few memories per year. Even then I need a pro.pt to unlock the memory. Like I remember one or two things from early elementary and don't really remember middle school at all. A bit more of high school, and early 20s. Pretty much everything is difficult to recall at will, but will get floods of memories with the right triggers.

My entire memory runs on being reminded of things for the most part. Like I might remember associations and positive or negative opinions of things, but without a trigger I don't really remember why.

Funny enough it works great in a technical environment where there are plenty of triggers to remind me of some random obscure thing and a searchable emails and documentation that help to guide the flood of recall. The memories are there, just lost in a giant soup of memories blending together.

  • With digital platforms like steam where there are zero chances of a game not being in stock prepurchasing benefits are limited to the few bonuses they give out like exclusive skins and crap.

I have bought a game at full price over $40 maybe once a year but not a prepurchase unless they had a free beta before the game was released. Nearly all of them were multiplayer games where I had played the beta with friends and we ended up putting in hundreds of hours.

Sadly, not enough games have free versions to try out so most games I purchase for $40 or less.

  • They also sold far, far fewer units, made less money per sale, and were not nearly as profitable long term.
