  • The discrepancy between the size of pockets in men's and women's pants is nuts. I can comfortably fit an entire iPad Mini in my pants pockets, while my gf is lucky to fit her phone in her's.

  • I subbed as an organist for a few weeks at a Christian Scientist church. They don't believe in germs, but they had plenty of hand soap in the bathrooms.

  • I thought the ribbon cables inside PCs was where memory was stored. I remember at like age 6 watching my older sister upgrade the RAM of our family computer (a 486 machine I think) and seeing all the mess of ribbon cables in the inside and I assumed that was memory. I guess because it reminded me of the tape inside a cassette?

  • I'm not sure. It was about the "turbo" button on 80s PCs, and how its function could be confusing to users depending on how it was wired. You look at the talk page and edit history there's still a lot of arguments about this.

  • I don't know if anyone else can relate to this, but this is what the arrow on those self-applied airplane luggage tag stickers feels like to me. For a while I kept peeling off the wrong half because the arrow isn't pointing in a direction that makes sense to me. Iirc, the arrow is pointing towards the part of the sticker you don't peel off, while at the same time being on the part that you do peel off. To me, the arrow should be pointing towards the part you peel off; that seems more intuitive to me for some reason.

  • I can sort of relate. I'm fat as fuck, but I really like salads and veggies. When I go out to eat, my (much smaller) partner will order like a steak and potatoes, and I might order like a chicken cobb salad, not because I'm dieting, but I because I really wanted a dinner salad. And like half the time they give the salad to my partner and give me the steak.
