  • It looks like the status bars window manager users tend to customize

  • Correct but it uses the SUDO_EDITOR environment variable. The benefit is more security while editing system files, it creates a temporary file and when you finish it writes changes to the original. There is more to it but that is all I know, it prevents some exploits.

  • Users with one downvote on every recent comment/post is usually some other user raging and being incapable of accepting other people's opinions.

  • Honey take a look at that restaraunt! Honey??

TIL Kitty terminal can show a dock panel on Linux desktops!

    • disable auto-rotate
    • enable dark mode
    • increase keyboard repeat rate
    • decrease keyboard repeat delay time
    • increase mouse/trackpad sensitivity
    • decrease idle to suspend time

The list is huge but those are the main things I do not need to install anything to change. They are important to me because I hate slow navigation.

  • Yes, because it is one year before ny birhyear.

  • You got it right, you can interact with Lemmy from Mastodon and vice versa but it is limited to certain things.

Also not all instances are federated with each other which can be a nuisance to keep track of.

  • You can probably start on mastodon were people have more casual conversations. You will probably find someone with your same interests. Enjoy your journey on the fediverse!

  • I've heard bad thing about latinamericans in Italy, Spain and the US. But I guess you are right.

  • The worst tourists are latinamericans, speaking as one.

  • Australia, they are all just Koala friendly.

  • aye!!! man of culture

  • I do prefer plain text as well, and I have tried Org mode, just not all the way. So I wil eventually give it a full go. Thank you!

  • Yeah, some clients allow you to compose in html so I just copy paste from my markdown editor. But it would be nice to skip the copy paste part and just to parse the markdown directly on the client. Also the markdown renderer fails, the markdown is already human readable. So that would be cool.

Email Clients That Allows Composing in Markdown?

I know that there are some web browser extensions like Markdown Here, but do you guys know of clients that do the same natively?
