You can try to take it but you will never keep it. The Canadian identity is caged in outward politeness under a quiet bedrock of anger, spite, and a creative disregard for the Geneva Convention when pitted against bullies.
My problem with the modern NDP is that I’d be happy voting for 2 out of the 3 frontrunners but as soon as I say which ones some random fellow NDP supporter will come out of nowhere to skewer me.
FWIW last year was the first year I’ve ever had website clients specifically request to be hosted in Canada. Word is getting around that the traditional tech stack is more precarious than once believed.
Hey - it’s nice to hear that more rank and file EU folks think about Canada. It does feel like we’ve been going it alone for most of the last year. Any voice of support is always appreciated.
This is realistically the best thing we can do as outsiders. Find other ways and don’t input foreign money into the war coffers.
I’m quite proud of the Canadian dip in tourism and how nearly all of the produce that came from the US at my grocery store now comes from Mexico and Peru.
I agree. It’s far more important civilian goal to keep our communities fed and the heat on in winter if our supply lines are interrupted than it is to have matching uniforms and guns to combat drones equipped with AI pattern recognition.
