  • Yeah, except I bought a couple new Hue bulbs and ZHA wouldn't find them. Z2M picked them up immediately. There really is no universal solution, even with "standards".

  • Install the nginx proxy manager add-on, set up let's encrypt for certificates and DuckDNS for name resolution, forward a port from your router. No need for homekit or a full vpn.

  • Yes. I've carried a tube instead of a spare on long haul adv rides. It's a reasonable backup plan, not a daily ride option.

No, it won't make you more puncture resistant, and you absolutely do not want sealant rolling around in a moto tire fucking up your balance and making life miserable for whoever has to eventually change it.

  • There's no such thing as a puncture resistant motorcycle tire. Whoever told you that is an idiot. You'll be fine with the road 5s. The battlax is better on the sides, but the road 5s can handle most of what you're likely to throw at it.

And please for the love of Christ don't put slime or other sealant in your moto tires.

  • This looks like the right answer, since OP's jinja is correct.

OP, you can go to developer tools to test your template syntax against the live data in HA.

  • You don't.

  • Nah, this is global capitalism blindly moving goods across the planet as quickly and cheaply as possible so all the diseases are spreading thing.

  • I dunno, I have the unfortunate experience of association with a lot of libertarian types. All of them believe we're in serious danger, all of them believe it's too late, and all of them are leaning hard into that "fuck you I got mine" mentality because it's too late for anything else.

They do nothing to help except vote libertarian or green.

  • I use an app called paperkarma. You send them a pic of the junk, they manually unsubscribe you.

They've gone to a subscription model because of course they have, I'd be eager to hear about alternatives if any exist.

  • Climate despair is the new climate denial, and these doomer editorials are oil industry propaganda pivoting.

If we can't do anything about it then nothing has to change and rich people keep getting everything they want.

  • Hospitals haven't been non profit since they were delayed in the early 1980s, and are absolutely structured for profit, with shareholders and conglomerate ownership and everything.

The medical write offs are exactly that. Tax avoidance.

  • I'd imagine tar is included with the install media.

  • That's why I didn't have braces in the first place. I figured if the joints were tight enough, they'd hold. Wrong, because the wood has deformed. I really don't want to anchor it to the wall unless absolutely necessary.

Plan was to put braces in the lower square portion.

  • Right, so how do you account for that in the design? In my photo, I didn't account for it at all. The square cuts have changed and it's failing. I can resolve it with braces as suggested, but now I'm wondering if those braces will change and it'll go out of square again.

  • Thanks. The plan to fix it was to basically put shims into the joints as a temporary method to square it, and then add some additional braces.

I designed this assuming specifically that the square cut joints would be strong enough, which was obviously wrong. But it does seem like the joints have expanded, or the beams have shrunk. Or both. Because each joint was a tight fit when I built it.

  • Marinas, boatyards and racetracks are also good sources.

  • Enclosed garage tent thing is a good idea. Keeps critters out, and exhaust is the least of your problems. They like to chew wires, and I've had wasp nests built under fairings. Tent also reduces the impact of moisture trapped under the cover, especially longer term contact with snow. And the covers flap around in the wind, ruining your paint.

Even with fuel stabilizers, I find that freeze cycles destroy fuel lines with ethanol in them. Make your last fillup ethanol free if you can, in addition to running fuel stabilizer.

I wouldn't worry too much about the tires. Overfill them a few lb, and check the pressure now and then. Modern rubber is pretty good once you warm it up.

The other thing is once it's winterized, you're done. Leave it alone till spring. Don't try to warm it up on the stand now and then, that just causes condensation in your oil. If you get a good day, go ride long enough to get it fully up to temp for at least an hour, and then re-winterize it.

  • Depends on your specific VPN, but look for a feature or setting called "split tunnel." It should create a separate non-vpn route for the local network.

Usually client-side setting, but not always if the tunnel is built on connection.
