I have a trauma-based personality disorder, which sometimes manifests itself in episodes of often uncontrollable bouts of verbal violence. I prefer to direct this to people on the internet (as opposed to actual people), as I don't wish to be violent towards people I actually care about.

  • Just here to agree that there are several ways one can be "drained", socially being one of them. I think it kinda betrays a lack of understanding about therapy to claim "It should help you to feel better. If it isn't doing that it's actively counterproductive." because the therapists job isn't to make you feel better, they're there to give you the tools and teach you to use them to make yourself feel better, the working part of that happens only outside of the actual therapy sessions. Though that's a common misconception and I was under it myself long, even during therapy. Which didn't help.

  • RTX 2080 Ti and CachyOS (Arch-based distro with an emphasis on gaming performance), most everything that should works out-of-the-box. I wouldn't stress it, try a live USB first. Edit: also I'm using Wayland, which has been worse with NVIDIA than X11 that Mint apparently uses. So I'm pretty confident you'll be alright.

  • this post makes me feel conflicted. on one hand i'm afraid of most bugs in general, so much so that they make me feel sick. so much so that the only reason i like the winter in the north is that all the wasps and shit will burn in hell where they belong.

but then on the other hand, there are perfect funny little men like this. how can one be afraid or feel sick because of a perfect funny little man like this?

  • yeah, by what i've seen from the uk is that you have a massive problem with far-right violence, with the government trying to make it go away by not paying any attention to it? how'd you say that's working out?

  • indeed! and it might as well be that what he means by "socialism" is in actuality just "local leftist politics", which i know nothing of as i'm not british.

  • thank you. i knew this to be true, but like come on. anyway, shouldn't think of myself as clearly better because the amount of blindness i experience is different than theirs atm

  • how are people this stupid?

  • indeed. i hope more would come to this conclusion faster, i don't think the ecological catastrophe is going to be kinder to humans the longer we fuck with capitalism. things are only going to get worse.

  • i've been liking her more each time i heard of and from her. she has been and is an inspirational young woman, worthy of much more praise than i have time for now. i especially applaud her uncompromising outspokenness on the issues of the modern world, most of which are present and evident in Gaza/Palestine. i think i remember she confirmed that her personal focus has shifted from environmentalism to dismantling capitalism, and i think taking her reknown globally and using it to expose the absolute depravity of the zionist establishment is vital work. everyone should be more like greta.

  • There clearly is no limit to the depravity of the class traitors of this particular regime. Soldiers are just more heavily armed cops, and all cops are bastard and class traitors.

  • "communism is when no anime, games those kinds of things"

  • i asked myself: wwjd? and now i ask you because i have no idea

  • Hell yeah!

  • I for one welcome our new Goa'uld overlords

  • We talked about autism in the oval office, folks, and we – many brilliant folks, folks like RFK Jr. here, brilliant minds, strong minds... many people are saying this – we think we found the answer, the final answer, the best answer, for autism...

the answer is going to be eugenics.

  • Can't answer that question, sorry, but I wanna say thank you for that comment. It actually helped me myself getting familiar on the actual nuances of contemporary global (and especially NATO-EU aligned) geopolitics, being a resident of both (hooray for joining NATO without any kind of real voting or polling), and also you taught me a new word (agitprop) the meaning of which I also now know. All in all wouldn't really bother with the agitprop necessarily myself, but 5/5 for the effort.

  • i think it'd be preferable for an average worker to buy one pair of shoes that can be maintained and repaired when broken and thus last a lifetime of work, because it would be cheaper than buy a new pair every year because the overpriced shit they keep peddling us can't even be repaired beyond a certain point. but alas, such is life in capitalist west. capitalism is when no shoes (or housing, or healthcare, or representation in government, or freedom of speech, or no unecessary wars, or money...)

  • i think being generally rude and just kind of a removed will eventually make people learn not to interact with you in any way outside of work related stuff.

  • oh yeah, i loved it when i got somewhat better from my own internal haze (depression and bpd and anxiety and shit) only to realize the world's actually gone to shit, and now i can clearly see what and why and how.
