What do you have against e I o u and sometimes y?

People looking for alternatives are usually looking for a new place to lurk and see stuff, they see a place they have to contribute to and nope out, I inly joined post permaban, even tho I was aware beforehand, for some reason felt like a barrier

I made so many forum accounts the week I got permabanned, I think reddit had trained my brain into thinking there was no point because of potential karma requirements to do stuff

they want you see to less real comments and more of the ads made to look like comments so you read them

they had ppl spam digg exodus to reddit friendshii with digg over type shit or something

no reddit idea to come up with, they just copied digg minus some bad decisions at the time

close all registrations, become a stricter process to federate, etc. if thats ever an issue

I always forget you can just block ppl why do I argue goddamn it

no, they paid to slowly filter ppl in and avoid spam none of the money went to them it was a donation that was voted on by the donators, its literally 5$ Once it's out of alpha and the website and apps are ready it'll be open to all. They've only let in whoever asked for it out of the donators also so it's a small percentage of the donators using the platform right now, most did it to reserve a short username early im assuming

lemmy.zips the closest at general purpose and working with the lemmy apps, or piefed.zip/piefed.social with interstellar for an app (wouldnt have reccomended it a couple weeks ago but seems notifications work now on ios)

I played lightbike a variation of armagetron (that imo was honestly superior, it had jumping, boosting, maps that took advantage of that, skins back when they were cheap) but I still play armagettron on ocassion, agains the ai for the most part. Loved that ipod game. I wish it was still popular, think they got scared of licensing disputes with disney and a bit greedy with the microtransactions towards the end, started to effect gameplay through boosts.

I wish some of the changes like jumping and maps that were more than just one grid made it over to armagettron or another pc version but those stayed simple sadly.

I would eat up a modern cross platform tron lightbike game with maps like the ipodgame, jumping, boosts, etc. and cosmetics like rocketleague as long as they don't give you a leg up. It would be all I play.

like an hour and a half superslow install, cachyos was so fast I thought it was an error

Try faugus launcher maybe, the games that I had issues with (pirated, wouldnt launch) all worked instantly with that

davinci sucks on linux, but like the one good thing is pirating it is downloading official version and pasting two terminal commands, everything else is hard or impossible to pirate

I have trouble with caching not working, still getting slow playback, masks cause a crash/freeze, turning performance mode off helped across my system tho with crashes, haven't tested it since, I think the profile was off for my laptop or something, seems to be a common issue.

Most of my games seem fine but I also havent tried vr or any flight sims since I swapped, stopped playing those a while before, most games seem fine, some need like 10 minutes for the shaders to load tho, but ive skipped that and had no issues so idk what thats about

Even when they make it over they never get anywhere near the same amount of features because they either plan for mobile/tablet screens and use, or use a different codebase and need to be redeveloped entirely, end up being a different app, somtimes different devs
