i had a similar interaction the other day in a random focus group about climate change and i had to hear live from university students old tropes like "But at what cost to their population?" when China came up as doing well on climate change lmao. hanging out in predominantly communist bubbles made me blissfully unaware how blatantly uninformed and id like to say idiotic the general population seemingly is. tho as sad as it is whenever the bubble gets pierced at times like these im also reminded that we still have a lot of work to do
