  • There little friend, good as new

  • Easiest explaination:

    1. Visit website X without VPN
    2. Get tracking cookie set that's associated with your IP and approximate location
    3. Turn on VPN because your're an idiot that believes VPNs fix everything
    4. Wonder how website X knows your approximate location

So no rocket science involved here...

  • Sauce? (aka "can someone reference the EU regulation that did this")

  • One: the original Axios article requires you to log in.

I can read the entire article without any login.

Anyway here's an archived version without authwall: https://archive.is/31K69

  • Ragebait trash article

    1. Why not link the original source? Axios
    2. Apparently the "study" used this "AI detector"

All "AI detectors" are crap and this detector is no different.

But why? Well I just put the first 3 paragraphs of the GDPR into it and it said it was 100% AI generated.

  • How about putting a land mine there?

  • Not all heros wear capes (in fact most of them don't)

  • Codeberg win

  • Do trick 33B: Blame it on the crappy corporate anti-virus solution.

Works always because nobody can say anything against that. Nobody knows exactly how it works, if it's secretly sending your data to the NSA for corporate espionage and if you would disable it, everything would be insecure.
