  • very nice

  • The site is not yet in operation. That has nothing to do with outsourcing... Its maybe bad supervision, but honestly most manufacturers fall in that category

  • The premise of it looks very nice. The UI looks very barebones though

  • I think the destinction between the chinese firm constructing the site and BYD itself is quite important here. I am absolutely not a fan of chinese car manufacturers but its just not the same as if BYD was operating the site right now and this news came to light

  • Wow ok 😁 I would need mods to get this many hours in minecraft nowadays

  • That is a lot in under 2 years 😅 Are you playing a modpack? And if so, which one?

  • I have no concrete numbers, but 1000s of hours in Minecraft and League Of Legends and about 1000h in Valorant

  • very nice. I will give it a try as well (after the holidays though)

  • I don't really understand the readme. Is the creation done in a cli or in the jellyfin UI?

I was missing this feature in jellyfin and this would be really great (I switched from plex which has it and I used it a lot 😅)

  • On the fediverse the core point of microblogging is: you have to follow people. So if you see a post that is in your opinion good for whatever reason, just go ahead and follow them. The next thing to do is to use hashtags. On mastodon this will greatly improve the visibility of the post. And third for me is: just comment on other people's posts and post your own and you will be golden

  • Bought a T-Shirt and 2 dice sets directly after watching the NZXT video 😇

  • I don't know why it wouldn't... It just communicates with your lemmy server right? And lemmy accounts are able to follow mbin magazines / communities like any other community. Just try to follow !firefox@fedia.io

  • Yes it does federate with lemmy

  • yes, exactly that

  • I just love the headline with the little undertitle 😁

  • Afaik from some folks who claim to have dug through the protocol: the protocol is needlessly complex with some very important parts of the network very unlikely to be decentralized (I think that was called relays) as it requires massive computing ressources.

The benefits of ActivityPub is that it is really really simple (basically just standardized json). Yes it has scaling issues, but those are solvable and partly just a sideeffect of actually being federated

  • +1
