Just another weird millennial

Please no romancing

  • "Ist der Ruf erst ruiniert, lebt es sich ganz ungeniert."

German proverb, that once the reputation is ruined, life can be lived without inhibitions.

  • Thank you for elaborating, because it sounded really trollish to me. :)

  • Thank you! This is the kind of advice I was initially hoping for :)

  • Are you saying, when someone is in a somewhat manic, or near psychotic state, and they want to get what's in their head on paper, that they should eat mints?

  • Also, to clarify, I'm not talking about writing for work. This is me by myself having things in my head that need to get out.

  • Answered this in another comment here. But no. Dictation would pretty much be a last resort.

  • I was thinking ordinary practice might not have much of an impact in those states. But there's a lot on the other side of the argument, so I think, you're right.

Urgh, I have a recording device, but that's bs. It's completely different to writing. Also, the reasons we learned shorthand at uni (aside from not being allowed recording devices in court rooms) is that it's so much quicker to transcribe an interview from shorthand than listening to the whole audio, stopping, pausing, removing "uhm, ehm, pause" etc.

    Thank you :)

  • It's a central part of my life already and for a long time, I'm also in therapy. So, don't worry about that :)

  • Thank you for sharing.

  • The lyrics are fucking fire btw.

    And I raise my heart

To the cordiality of these louts

    They bring me luck

    Tonight I have an appointment

And I'll go just the way I am

    No, I won't change a thing

    All my madness

    The fire from my hands/palms

    My shameless love

    My love that rages

    And even if it's scary

That's how the men I love love

  • Meaning and just walking a path.

Lotsa shitty things in the world when I arrived. And anyone or anything living could be me, since I don't think anyone even chose to be human, nor when and where they were born. So it's in my interest to fix shit up and not make it worse -- I could be the next kid born into this world.

The comment of @bsit@sopuli.xyz is also important to me. as are some things @argumentativemonotheist@lemmy.world mentioned/touched on.

  • I don't think I've read more than a hundred pages. It was also too American for my interests to devote so much time to. But I still remember the scene where the character preps everything to lock himself up in comfort, full hermit style and hedonistic entertainment maxing, once he gets his weed. Good stuff!

  • They should read their own damn books, such as simple sabotage.

Also some random excerpts on Gabbard being totally not compromised by Russia. /s

National intelligence director Tulsi Gabbard said on Tuesday that she had stripped security clearances from 37 current and former national security officials, including some who worked on the intelligence community’s assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election.

    Or this

The former senior CIA officer who helped oversee the 2017 intelligence assessment on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election says Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and the White House are “lying” when they claim that it was an attempt to sabotage President Donald Trump

“The director of national intelligence and the White House are lying, again,” Miller said. “We definitely had the intel to show with high probability that the specific goal of the Russians was to get Trump elected.”

  • Thank you! :)

  • It kinda sucks that the sliders for their metrics didn't carry over on the archive version, since without it the article is pretty empty.

I also find the title rage inducing. Yeah, it's not exactly a surprise either. But still pretty fucked up when Minnesota showed (and continues to) something very powerful facing this shit, rather than just being part of the story. I'd argue their actions even hold weight against moving towards autocracy with in their little slider thingies.
