I also have a spider in the window in front the desk in my home office. My wife has a massive spider phobia, but since she doesn't come in my office much, I've been able to bargain for this spider's life for almost half a year now. I call him Albert.
I'm still flabergasted by the fediverse sometimes. I search for libreoffice in my mastodon client and one of the results is "libreoffice@lemmy.ml" and even a peertube instance.

Cows are bred for milk production. If it wasn't for men, their milk production would be very different. It's just as natural as a banana.
In the short term, but if you have to buy pair of shoes for 10 bucks every month, that's not cheaper than a good pair for 60 that lasts a year or more. Don't forget that you're likely paying for child labour, you're contributing to a company that ignores European safety and quality rules, you're possibly buying stolen IP and they're ysually not particularly environmentallly friendly.
