  • Glad to hear that it should work, gives me some hope at least. The Thor is an android based handheld but yeah it should support higher framerates easy. Double checked all settings so it should just work. What I didn't try is turning off game recording, will give that a go. Thanks!

  • Whaaa? I was just in Seattle, $13 for a chicken burrito and chips with salsa. I think chipotle is still the best deal in fast food, buying the two cheeseburger meal at McDonald's is basically the same price and way less healthy.

  • No HDMI port but does support video over its USB c connector and full support for multiple controllers. Most handhelds that start around probably $150 and are android based will most likely have this functionality as well.

  • I'm not sure what is obfuscated for officer safety or whatever but there's sites like this that have basically federal employee.

  • Typical air force, always over briefing things, a Naruto run should be more than enough to deter any geese...

  • If only I didn't wear analog watches, Google

  • You ever have issues with sites not accepting your email? I tried to claim some free games on epic, made an account with my email provider (not Gmail), but I would keep getting errors saying some shit like please enter a real address or something. I don't have issues with every site but it's a pain when it doesn't work.

  • I figured it'd be something similar to that, interesting!

  • Fujoshi (腐女子) is the Japanese word for what you're mentioning, which I'm sure is not what they're using China. I can offer no further insight than that.

  • Lmao well I don't know what you want. If you want your PC to be secure, don't use the Internet. You can't expect every piece of software you come across to be perfectly vetted. In an ideal world sure everything would be foss and peer reviewed but that sure as hell ain't the world we live in.

  • Almost 14 thousand games released this year on steam. You could say malware is 100x more likely than the 4 publicly known instances you mention and that's still not even 3% of games released. Steam is responsible but I don't know how you expect them to get that down 0% besides manually reviewing game code line by line, which would probably destroy the platform. Don't let perfection be the enemy of good

  • This one has really surprised me. I'm not sure when this became so widespread, I guess because of tiktok? I feel like almost every channel I watch the advertiser unfriendly words are censored or are substituted with unalived or something. Pretty unfortunate.

  • Seriously, people saying that about pepe here reminds me of conservatives saying video games are the problem. It's like come on, I don't think the 19 year old woman streaming stardew valley on twitch to 12 people and posting okayge in chat even knows what a 4chan is lol

  • YSK Lemvotes.org will show you votes on any post, comment, or by user, for anything on the fediverse

  • I have no doubt it's incredibly easy to dox someone from upvotes alone. Maybe not on lemmy because interactions are just a lot more infrequent, but on reddit if you upvote posts about Omaha Nebraska, retro game collecting, Subaru wrx, and e bikes, you really narrow down your choice of people. If you just had one other bit of information about the user, like just a general photo or where they went to high school you could definitely nail someone down.

I really do hate this part of the Lemmyverse and wish it was all obfuscated. That with it being impossible to delete your posts really limits how much I want to interact with the site.

  • How the fuck

  • Really hope they move the clans to the base game. I never buy games at launch but if I'm interested enough will at the first sale. This one will heavily rely on reviews though lol

  • Sometimes you can get deals even on launch pricing. I remember buying fallout 4 on green man gaming at launch for $10 off.

  • Interesting. Where I work we have field techs as well but I guess it's a little different. Everyone's issued their own truck, the truck just lives at the office. So you'd drive to the office, pick up your truck, and then start earning windshield time. In any case, I do wonder what it'd look like for like a retail worker or something.

  • I mean if I was a miner and instead of working in the mines I could just drive for 8 hours that sounds a little more doable. In any case, what if I just get a job somewhere and then move? As much as people on lemmy hate driving I'm sure there's someone out there who likes it.
