    So yes, the chancellor is not directly elected. This method ensures the chancellor always has a majority in parliament this avoiding periods of deadlock. Also keep in mind that the chancellor is not nearly as powerful as the president in most presidential systems.

  • Hier ein paar Hintergrundinfos zur Einordnung:

    In einem Vorgang, den Politikwissenschaftler als Arschloch-Move bezeichnen, hat das CDU geführte Innenministerium die Software im Alleingang bestellt. Dieser ca 28 Millionen schwere Vertrag ist unterzeichnet und gültig. Die Nutzung der Software bedurfte aber noch der Anpassung des Polizeigesetzes (wie jetzt geschehen).

    Die Fraktion der Grünen stand nun vor der Entscheidung, die Zustimmung zu verweigern, die Koalition damit platzen zu lassen und die Gesetzesänderung dann der nächsten (sicherlich rechteren) Regierung zu überlassen. Oder eben, so wie geschehen, eine ganze Menge Einschränkungen für die Nutzung reinzuverhandeln. Darunter die Begrenzung auf 5 Jahre, der Ausschluss weitere KI Module und die Beschränkung auf bestimmte Straftaten.

    Es mag nun jeder selbst bewerten, was die bessere Wahl gewesen wäre.
