I think there's far fewer genuine trolls than people claim. Someone being an asshole because they had a bad day? Not a troll. Someone deliberately pretending to be something they're not in order to rile up people for fun? Troll.
Most of the time, you're blocking your brethren on their worst days. Which is your right, but don't pretend that just cuz your brother is warty that they're a troll.
It sounds like your wife just likes to party! Cuz I can assure you Manilla is filled with shitty dive bars too haha. It's just also filled with amazing people who love to love and love to party. Filipinas rock! You two must have so much fun
How would you hold power when the powers that be despise you? You think you can rule without military might, will of the people, and the approval of those who owm the resources of the land? The idea of benevolent dictator is broken because of the conditions that you would need to create to even get in power, and to stay in power, would not be benevolent.
I dunno, i just dont see it that way. im an organism who experiences the world from my own perspective but i understand nothing about that makes my perspective special. the only extra duty i have is to care for myself because i am myself and im the best one for the job, most of the time. maybe i did have ego death or something?? i dunno, i never thought about it as being the main character or side character. when i see the ilk of Elon Musk talking about things like NPCs it just blows my mind how ... "single-minded" people can be.
i see your mind and i know it is part of me but the paradox is that upon recognizing that your single-mindedness is part of me, i cease being single-minded
baking by volume is INSANE why would anyone do that?!
i remember as a kid my nan telling me to not pack the flour too tightly in the cups or the measurement will be off. like why not just weigh the flour?!
Cmon man, there's two kinds of recipes: one with exact measurements and precise instructions, usually written in metric with a lot of notes and contingencies... and then there's general guideline cheat sheets and refreshers, which you use when you already know how to cook it.
If a recipe tells me "a couple spoonsful" and I don't know what to do, the problem is not the recipe, it's that I don't know what I'm doing.
So what do you do? you learn. or I guess you could be like NileRed and watch food burn in front of your face because you don't want to deviate from the recipe. over and over again. but hopefully you'll learn to deviate soon.
yeah
